[toc] The Metamorphosis Lost Sector is the second worst Lost Sector in the game. It’s difficult is above average because Scorn Crossbows still do more damage than intended. Let’s hope a fix comes soon enough… Their damage is even higher than the Arc damage in Metamorphosis, taking into account that Arc Burn is active there (+50%damage)!

Weapons & Armor

This season, the best loadout is:

• A Kinetic Scout
• Riskrunner
• Arc Rocket
• Solar 3.0 Build (Titans can also use Cuirass of the Falling Star)

Riskrunner is the perfect weapon for an Arc Burn Lost Sector as its damage gets buffed by 50%. But more importantly, it reduces the Arc damage you receive on top of any Arc Damage Resistance mods.

Only a few enemies in Metamorphosis do Arc damage. But when they do, Riskrunner’s Arc-chaining will procc and easily take out large groups of enemies with easy. Riskrunner will also stun the many Overload Champions you’ll run into.

There are only a couple of Unstoppable Champions, which is why you need a Kinetic Scout. Your Scout Rifle will stun the Unstoppable Champions, but Riskrunner and your Arc Rocket will be your main Champion and Boss DPS.

Needless to say, these aren’t easy and the least you should do is ensure you have a reasonable Power Level. By reasonable, we mean no less than 10 Power Levels below the recommended levels. If you find yourself struggling, work on increasing your Power Level as much as possible and focus on Legend Lost Sectors.

Metamorphosis Lost Sector guide

The Metamorphosis Lost Sector has the highest likelihood of you dying. Everything is within close range, so enemies never miss. Void Scorn Crossbows can one-shot you with how much damage they do (even after their recent nerf).

The beginning of the Lost Sector is the most difficult part. There’s an insane amount of enemies at the entrance and they’re all targeting you. A lot of them have the dreaded Scorn Crossbow. On top of an army of trash ads, there are also two Overload Champions. These Champions will spawn Scorn Totems that will add another challenge for you.

The first thing you want to do is clear away as many enemies as you can. If you can, stun one or both of the Overload Champions before you Rocket that biggest pack of enemies.

With that one Rocket, you clear away a large chunk of enemies cutting you down. The cherry on top is if you also remove a bunch of health from a Champion and finish it with Riskrunner. You can get Subzero Salvo from Variks on Europa. It’s one of the easiest Arc Rockets to get.

I wouldn’t use more than two Rockets here so you have enough ammo for the remaining Champions and the boss. Riskrunner and your Solar abilities are enough to quickly kill everything else until you get to the final boss.

The final boss can be tricky to instantly kill. If you damage it too slowly, it’ll activate immunity shields which can waste your super or Rocket Launcher ammo.

After dozens of Metamorphosis runs, Warlocks need to Super and then shoot Rockets at the boss. Hunters only need to Blade Barrage the boss to kill it. Titans can one-shot the boss with a Cuirass of the Falling Star super. Sunbreaker Titans can kill the boss with a couple of x3 Roaring Flames-buffed Throwing Hammers and 1 Rocket.
