While our Lost Sectors guide features every Legend and Master Lost Sectors in the game, this mini-guide covers everything you need to know to prepare, including recommended loadouts, enemy shields, and Champions.

Recommended loadout
Loadout recommendations are more versatile than ever. There are now more methods to handle Champions. Match game is gone. There are now two active Surges at any given time.
When it comes to loadouts, we offer two alternatives. One loadout for when Void is the weekly Surge, and another one for when Solar is the active Surge. To find out which is the active Surge of the week, you simply need to open the activity screen.

For Lost Sectors with Barrier and Unstoppable Champions, such as Skydock IV, the Solar loadout we recommend is the following:
- Riptide with Chill Clip (can stun Unstoppable Champions when freezing then)
- Solar Pulse rifle or Sidearm (i.e. BXR-55 Battler or Drang)
- Gjallarhorn or Xenophage
- A Solar 3.0 Build

The Void loadout we recommend is the following:
- Riptide with Chill Clip (can stun Unstoppable Champions when freezing then)
- Void Pulse rifle or Sidearm (i.e. Gridskipper or Fioritura-59)
- Regnant with Explosive Light or Deathbringer
- A Void 3.0 Build
Unstoppable Champions are some of the deadliest enemies in a Lost Sector. They do a ton of damage and will follow you aggressively. Unstoppable Pulse Rifles are the best counter to them because they can stun them from a safe distance. Any Pulse Rifle will work, but the BXR-55 Battler from Dares of Eternity will work when Solar Surge is active.

BxR-55 Battler Pulse Rifle, Destiny 2
That’s also why you should also use Gjallarhorn or Xenophage on Solar weeks. Both weapons will do huge damage to the final boss and every Champion you’ll face.
Requirements
Difficulty | Legend | Master |
Recommended Power | 1830 | 1840 |
Exotic armor (if solo) | Rare | Common |
Needless to say, these aren’t easy and the least you should do is ensure you have a reasonable Power Level. By reasonable, we mean no less than 10 Power Levels below the recommended levels. If you find yourself struggling, work on increasing your Power Level as much as possible and focus on Legend Lost Sectors.
Skydock IV Lost Sector guide
The most dangerous enemies in this Lost Sector are the Champions and Incinerators. Both enemy types do a ton of damage and can kill you almost instantly. They should be taken out as quickly as possible.

Skydock IV Lost Sector, Destiny 2
To take out every Champion quickly, use a combination of your abilities and Heavy weapon. You can also use your Pulse Rifle for some additional damage if needed.
The final boss can be killed quickly with your Heavy weapon and your Super (if you get it fast enough). There’s also a special Nightmare enemy next to the boss that will buff your damage. Once it dies, it drops an orange orb that buffs your boss damage for a few seconds.
Lost Sector Rewards
As a reminder, completing Legend or Master Lost Sectors solo is the only way to acquire several specific Exotic armor pieces. While our Lost Sector Exotics guide covers them all, including their rotation for the remainder of the season, these are all Lost Sector Exotics available today:

Skydock IV Summary
If this guide had too much information and you can only remember one sentence, these are the highlights:
Featuring a Solar threat modifier, the Skydock IVLost Sector features Solar and Void shielded enemies as well as Unstoppable and Barrier Champions. Due to its length to complete and difficulty, this is one of the best Lost Sectors to farm.
Hopefully, you now have everything you need to know how to best clear this Lost Sector to farm exactly the type of Exotic armor you need.
It’s on the EDZ not Nessus.
That was my bad, now corrected, thanks for the heads up!
