Excavation Site XII Modifiers: Legend & Master
Legend Modifiers:
- Solar Threat: +50% Solar damage received.
- Equipment Locked: You will not be able to change your equipment after this activity starts.
- Limited Revives: Limited fireteam revives. Gain additional revives by defeating Champions.
- Shields Foes: You will face combatants with Solar and Void shields.
- Champion Foes: You will face Barrier and Overload Champions.
- Arach-NO!: When defeated, Fallen Vandals spawn a web mine at their feet.
Master Modifiers:
- All of the above, plus
- Scorched Earth: Enemies throw grenades significantly more often.
Difficulty: Excavation Site XII is one of the easiest Lost sectors to farm in this Season.
Recommended loadout
Loadout recommendations are more versatile than ever. There are now more methods to handle Champions. Match game is gone. There are now two active Surges at any given time.
When it comes to loadouts, we offer two alternatives. One loadout for when Void is the weekly Surge, and another one for when Solar is the active Surge. To find out which is the active Surge of the week, you simply need to open the activity screen.

The Void loadout we recommend is the following:
- Riptide with Chill Clip (can stun Unstoppable Champions when freezing then)
- Void Pulse rifle or Sidearm (i.e. Gridskipper or Fioritura-59)
- Regnant with Explosive Light or Deathbringer
- A Void 3.0 Build
In the Excavation Site XII Lost Sector, you’ll run into Unstoppable and Barrier Champions. Any Pulse Rifle is great at stunning the Unstoppable Champion this season.
If you have access to the Dares of Eternity, the Solar Pulse Rifle (BXR-55 Battler) is what we recommend on Solar weeks. It’ll do extra damage because of Solar Surge, but it’s not necessary. Any Pulse Rifle will work because it’s only for stunning Unstoppable Champions.

You’ll use your Gjallarhorn or Deathbringer on the Barrier Champion and final boss. Both are fairly easy to obtain.

Needless to say, these aren’t easy, and the least you should do is ensure you have a reasonable Power Level. By reasonable, we mean no less than 10 Power Levels below the recommended levels. If you find yourself struggling, work on increasing your Power Level as much as possible and focus on Legend Lost Sectors.
Excavation Site XII Lost Sector guide
The Excavation Site XII Lost Sector is fairly easy with Solar or Void 3.0 (depending on the weekly Surge). All of your kills come from your abilities and your Heavy weapon. If you’re new to running Lost Sectors, your Pulse Rifle will also help.
There are a lot of Unstoppable Champions in this Lost Sector. They can be stunned with your Riptide with ease.. When you get to the Barrier Champion, you can kill it before it uses its Barrier. Keep in mind you only have a very short window to do enough damage.
Gjallarhorn Exotic Rocket Launcher
The best way to do this is by using your grenade and Heavy weapon at the same time. If you’re not fast enough, you can still break the Barrier with your Anti-Barrier weapon of choice.
If you use only one Gjallarhorn shot per Champion, you’ll have plenty to kill the boss quickly. You can buff your damage even more if you kill the Nightmare Cabal next to the boss first.
This Nightmare enemy will drop an orange orb once killed. This ball will buff your damage against the final boss for a few seconds.
Lost Sector Rewards
