The Conflux is one of the top 5 Lost Sectors to farm during the Season of Plunder. It’s a newer Lost Sector that is also fast to farm and hardly has any difficulty.
While our Lost Sectors guide features every Legend and Master Lost Sectors in the game, this The Conflux mini-guide covers everything you need to know to prepare, including recommended loadouts, enemy shields, and Champions.
The Conflux Location and Requirements
The Conflux Lost Sector is located in The Cistern, on Nessus.
How to unlock Legend & Master Lost Sectors? You’ll need to complete the normal version of the Lost Sector and reach 1510 Power Level to even see them in the Director.

During Season of Plunder (S18), the best loadout is:
- A Kinetic Sniper
- A Solar Pulse Rifle
- A Solar 3.0 Build
You can use any Kinetic Sniper Rifle that you have available, as it’s really only used to counter Barrier Champions. With a Sniper, you’ll be able to break shields and kill enemies from a safe distance. Thoughtless is a good option.
Your Solar Pulse Rifle and Solar 3.0 abilities will kill most of the enemies. With the Solar Burn modifier active, abilities one shot most enemies. It’s also perfect at stunning Unstoppable Champions. A good solar Pulse is the BxR-55 Battler from Dares of Eternity.
That still leaves Void shielded enemies, the final boss, and all of the Champions. Your Pulse Rifle and Sniper Rifle won’t be enough. This is where Xenophage will come into play, one of our favorite weapons this season.
Xenophage can one-shot the Void enemies so they won’t be a threat. Those enemies can one-shot you too if you’re too close, so be careful! Since it was buffed at the start of the Season of the Plunder, Xenophage is much more powerful. It’s easy to get and slices through Champions and the boss.
Make sure to equip these mods for easy runs:
|Unstoppable Pulse Rifle||Arms||Any||1||Aiming down Pulse Rifle sights loads a high-impact burst that stuns unshielded combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.||Champions||Any||Season 18|
|Thermoshock Plating||Chest||Any||2||Reduces incoming Arc damage from combatants.||Seasonal||Any||Season 18|
|Machine Gun Scavenger||Leg||Any||1||Machine Guns get bonus reserves when you pick up ammo.||Seasonal||Any||Season 18|
|Font of Might||Universal||Any||4||Picking up an elemental well that matches your subclass energy type grants a temporary bonus to weapon damage of that same elemental type.||Elemental Well||Any|
|Harmonic Siphon||Helmet||Any||1||Rapid weapon final blows with damage matching your subclass type create an Orb of Power.||Charged with Light||Any||Season 16|
|Machine Gun Ammo Finder||Helmet||Any||3||Increases your chance of finding Heavy ammo while you have a Machine Gun equipped.||Weapon Type||Any|
|Machine Gun Scavenger||Leg||Any||5||Machine Guns get bonus reserves when you pick up ammo.||Weapon Type||Any|
|Exotic armor (if solo)||Rare||Common|
Needless to say, these aren’t easy and the least you should do is ensure you have a reasonable Power Level. By reasonable, we mean no less than 10 Power Levels below the recommended levels. If you find yourself struggling, work on increasing your Power Level as much as possible and focus on Legend Lost Sectors.
The Conflux Lost Sector guide
In The Conflux Lost Sector, you’ll find a mix of Unstoppable and Barrier Champions. There are also some Void-shielded enemies that can be rather annoying. With Match Game active in Lost Sectors, it seems odd that no Void damage is suggested in the recommended loadout.
Xenophage does so much damage that you can kill a Void-shielded Incinerator in one hit. What makes me love Xenophage, even more, is that it’s perfect if you’re below the recommended Power Level. You can take out the Cabal from a safe-enough distance. Even body shots will kill non-Void-shielded enemies!
By the time every Champion is killed, and the final boss is out, you should have your Solar 3.0 super. Use it on the boss, and you’ll finish it by emptying your remaining Xenophage ammo.
After you kill the final boss, open the chest for Platinum rewards.
Lost Sector Rewards
As a reminder, completing Legend or Master Lost Sectors solo is the only way to acquire several specific Exotic armor pieces. While our Lost Sector Exotics guide covers them all, including their rotation for the remainder of the season, these are all Lost Sector Exotics available today:

The Conflux Summary
If this guide had too much information and you can only remember one sentence, these are the highlights:
Featuring a Solar burn modifier, The Conflux Lost Sector features Void shielded enemies and Unstoppable and Barrier Champions. Due to its length to complete and difficulty, this is a great Lost Sector to farm.
Hopefully, you now have everything you need to know how to best clear this Lost Sector to farm exactly the type of Exotic armor you need.
