While slightly held back from top tier status due to its non-elemental nature, Blast Furnace is arguably the king of kinetic legendaries. Now rolling with Chaos Reshaped, this is one powerhouse of a pulse rifle.

How good is Blast Furnace?
Blast Furnace sits amongst the best legendary pulse rifles despite lacking any elemental flair, and its final form is packing quite some heat. Keeping most of what made its previous iteration powerful, it now has Chaos Reshaped in place of Frenzy, which gives more than double the damage bonus! As for PvP, Desperado makes its appearance in place of Rapid-Hit. While that might sound like a loss, since this is a tiered weapon, it has access to enhanced stat mods which can offset the lost stability Rapid-Hit provided and allow Desperado to really shine!

The Blast Furnace kinetic pulse rifle can roll with the following perks:
- Perk 1: Kinetic Tremors, Headseeker, Zen Moment, Lone Wolf, Ancillary Ordinance, Bewildering Burst, Keep Away.
- Perk 2: Chaos Reshaped, Desperado, Kill Clip, Rampage, All-Star, Desperate Measures, Firefly.
- Origin Trait: Forge’s Kin, Indomitability.

With a base of 29 handling, we need to bump it as high as possible, so Fluted Barrel will be our pick here, and Flared Magwell will help with the rather low reload speed.
Perk 1 really has no better option than Kinetic Tremors. Ancillary Ordinance and Bewildering Burst can be fun picks for niche builds, but Kinetic Tremors is just too strong to not use. As for Perk 2, Chaos Reshaped or Firefly are the best of the bunch. Chaos Reshaped offers a hefty damage buff that also buffs Kinetic Tremors, and Firefly has a potent AoE effect that also enhances reload speed, but both are equally strong picks for different situations.

As with most pulse rifles, having as close to 100 recoil stat as possible is a significant part of winning gunfights, so Arrowhead Break’s +30 to said stat is going to help us tremendously. And although it might not be needed, Ricochet Rounds provides good bumps to both range and stability.
Perk 1 has two equally solid choices between Headseeker and Zen Moment, and the choice comes down to how confident you are in hitting crits; Headseeker if not confident, Zen Moment if you are. Perk 2 sadly lost Rapid Hit, but Desperado or Kill Clip will be viable replacements for the perk, as they help lower your TTK after a kill, just in different ways.
How to get Blast Furnace
Blast Furnace, as well as all the other returning Black Armory weapons, can drop from participating in the Arena Ops playlist. You can also attune to it to increase your chances of obtaining it when farming the playlist.
