A new season is here, and with that, a new Competitive reward. This time around, however, it looks like all players have their eyes on the brand new Aggressive Frame Pulse Rifle: Belisarius-D.
With stellar stats and perks that let it flex in both PvE and PvP, this is truly one worth the effort, and today, we’ll take a look at just how nasty it can be.

How to get Belisarius-D
Like all Competitive weapons, Belisarius-D can be acquired by completing 7 placement matches and then again on other characters by playing three games per week.

How good is Belisarius-D?
Pulse Rifles received a decent buff in Season 23, bumping their damage against Minor (red bar) and Major (orange bar) enemies by 12.5%. While it doesn’t sound like a lot, this will reduce the shots needed on these enemies by roughly 4, which is one less burst for Belisarius-D. On top of that buff, it can roll with some interesting perk combos that will let it keep up in end-game content, but more on that later.
PvP is easily where Belisarius-D will shine, which is no surprise for a Competitive reward. Much like the weapons before it, Belisarius-D is best in class for its archetype, and it is not difficult to see why: in terms of Aggressive Frames, it has the 2nd highest range and the right rolls lets it hit almost 100 in stability, range, and recoil direction. Truly a stat monster, unlike anything we’ve seen.
Overall, Belisarius-D is A-Tier in PvE and S-Tier in PvP.

Belisarius-D Perks and God Rolls
The Belisarius-D can roll with the following perks:

- Perk 2: Hatchling, Kill Clip, Moving Target, Headseeker, Deconstruct, Zen Moment

Belisarius-D PvE god roll
- Barrel: Chambered Compensator
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Perk 1: Slice or Vorpal Weapon
- Perk 2: Kill Clip or Hatchling
- Masterwork: Stability
As previously stated, pulse rifles received a 12.5% buff to Minor and Major enemies. With that in mind, the god rolls here are more focused on class synergy and buffing damage. For your barrel and magazine, you’ll be wanting Chambered Compensator and Appended Mag. Chambered Compensator will help keep your shots on target by buffing stability and recoil direction, and Appended Mag gives you two extra bursts without knocking down reload speed.
For Column 3, Belisarius-D has three amazing PvE perks, but the ones of note are Slice and Vorpal Weapon. Slice lets you apply the Sever debuff to enemies shortly after casting your class ability. This allows you to reduce those targets’ damage by 30%, which will be a boon in higher-end content, especially as it does not require the Strand subclass to use. Vorpal is also very viable as pulse rifles are anti-Overload weapons in Season 23, so either would be welcome. In Column 4, it’s a toss-up between Kill Clip and Hatchling. Both, unfortunately, require a kill to activate, so it comes down to wanting more synergy or more damage. The choice is yours.
Belisarius-D PvP god roll
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Perk 1: Rapid-Hit
- Perk 2: Headseeker or Kill Clip
- Masterwork: Range
Let’s cut to the chase: Belisarius-D will become the king of pulse rifles. High-Impact frames got knocked down a peg in their range a few seasons back, which has let others rise up in their place, especially Aggressive Frames. Belisarius-D’s high base stats will let it compete with just about anything, but you need the right roll for that to happen. To that end, we are going to be using Fluted Barrel and Ricochet Rounds to bump range, stability, and handling. If you want near-perfect recoil, Chambered Compensator is a fine replacement for Fluted Barrel, at the cost of some handling, however.
Column 3 has about everything you could want for a pulse rifle, but it’s easy to see why Rapid-Hit would be the go-to here. Being a 4-burst rifle means that you can hit almost max stacks in a single burst, bumping the stability up by 20 in the process. Elemental Capacitor and Keep Away are also good here, as both give varying stat bonuses that will help keep the weapon consistent. In Column 4, there’s both Headseeker and Kill Clip to go after, so go with your gut on that one. And for the stock, Short Action is the best one here as it increases handling by 15, which is severely needed as handling is this pulse’s lowest stat.
