The Quarry is one of the easiest Lost Sectors to complete in Destiny 2, making it one of the best to farm Exotics.
While our Lost Sector Today guide covers every Legend and Master Lost Sectors in the game, this mini-guide covers everything you need to know to prepare for The Quarry Lost Sector, including recommended loadouts, Threats, and Champions.

The Quarry D2 Recommended Loadout
Rank: ✅ A Tier: Good Lost Sector to farm 👍
The Quarry has Barrier and Unstoppable Champions; therefore, we recommend this Solar loadout:
- Arbalest to stun Barrier Champions and easily destroy Void Shields when needed. If you have Conditional Finality, it works well, too, as it can Freeze the Barrier Champions.
- Solar Hand Cannon to take advantage of the Solar Surge and Unstoppable Hand Cannon.
- Apex Predator to deal high damage to the boss while taking advantage of the weekly Surge (Tractor Cannon can work well on Titan if you have the Champions handled).
- A Solar 3.0 build

Subclasses and Exotics
Every class has a solid build for this Lost Sector. Hunters can use Celestial Nighthawk combined with a typical Restoration setup with Ember of Empyrean, Healing Grenades, and maybe Ember of Torches for more damage through Radiant.
Warlocks can use Sunbracers and our ‘Sun Wizard’ build on our Top Warlock Builds post to quickly clear rooms of enemies while retaining Restoration x2. Well of Radiance is also excellent, especially in the boss room.
Titans should use our Undying Flame build with Synthoceps on our Top Titan Builds page to deal good damage. Tractor Cannon can also be a solid option if you have the Champions handled through your subclass verbs and weapons.

Requirements
Difficulty | Legend | Master |
Recommended Power | 1830 | 1840 |
Exotic armor (if solo) | Rare | Common |
Needless to say, these aren’t easy, and the least you should do is ensure you have a reasonable Power Level. By reasonable, we mean no less than 10 Power Levels below the recommended levels. If you find yourself struggling, work on increasing your Power Level as much as possible and focus on Legend Lost Sectors.
The Quarry Destiny 2 Legend guide
The first room is straightforward. Kill the first group of enemies as you spawn in, and then kill the Unstoppable Champion as he comes up the slope. Priming the Unstoppable Shot in your Hand Cannon as he comes up will help. Doing this will let you easily take him down with a rocket or two or a few Throwing Hammers after debuffing him with Tractor Cannon.
Once he dies, a group of minor enemies will come from the right-hand side of the room. There aren’t too many, so you can easily take care of them. If you see an enemy near an explosive barrel, feel free to shoot it, as it will kill them instantly, making your life a bit easier.
The next room is relatively small and contains a Barrier Champion and minor enemies alongside a Gladiator. The Barrier Champion will spawn on the right-hand ledge, giving you time to clear the red bar Legionnaires before he jumps down. Again, feel free to shoot the explosive barrel if you want to do some extra damage. You can make him pop his Barrier with a rocket shot when he drops and then kill him right after. A Gladiator will enter the room as you fight him or directly after you’ve killed him, depending on how fast you are. Make sure to respect him, as he can do quite a lot of damage. Once you kill him, you’ll be entering the final room.
The final room can be chaotic, so quickly clear the red bar enemies and direct your focus onto the Barrier Champion. If you are scared, you can use your Super on him to make your life easier. Titans can jump up to him and use their Throwing Hammers or snipe him with Rockets and Arbalest. Once he dies, make sure to kill the Nightmare Legionaries, as they will drop the ‘Unstable Essence’ buff, which, when picked up, lets you deal a lot more damage to the boss. Poke the boss down to about a third hp. This will trigger the spawn of an Unstoppable Champion. Take care of this Champion as fast as possible by using some Heavy Ammo, and then finish off the boss. If you’re struggling to kill this Unstoppable Champion fast enough, retreat to high ground, where the chest is, and kill him up there. After that, you can get back to killing the boss.
Once the boss dies, you do not have to kill any other enemy, and you can collect your loot on the high ground.
Lost Sector Rewards
As a reminder, completing Legend or Master Lost Sectors solo is the only way to acquire several specific Exotic armor pieces. While our Lost Sector Exotics guide covers them all, including their rotation for the remainder of the season, these are all Lost Sector Exotics available today:

The Quarry Summary
Featuring a Void Threat modifier, The Quarry Lost Sector features Void and Solar-shielded enemies, as well as Unstoppable and Barrier Champions. Due to its length and difficulty, this is one of the best Lost Sectors to farm.
Great guide! I really appreciate the loadout suggestions, especially the emphasis on synergy between weapons and subclass abilities. It helped me navigate The Quarry Lost Sector much more efficiently. Can’t wait to see more guides like this!
