Pauurc, The Farseer’s Heir: How to Summon (Wish 5 Token)

by | Mar 5, 2024

One of two destinations released with the Forsaken DLC, the Dreaming City is chock-full of secrets and special events. One of these is the fight with Pauurc, The Farseer’s Heir, which has taken center stage once more due to week five of the Riven’s Wishes questline.

Today, we’ll cover exactly where to find and how to defeat Pauurc, whether it be for a Wish Token or Dreaming City gear.

Where to find Pauurc in Destiny 2

Pauurc’s encounter can be found in the Rheasilvia patrol zone. To begin the process of spawning this boss, you’ll need to wait in this zone until the text “A Saboteur wanders the Dreaming City” appears on the bottom left of your screen. This saboteur is your ticket to beginning your fight with Pauurc, but nothing can be done to quicken the process of its spawning.

After the notification pops up stating that a saboteur is around, you’ll need to find it. It typically appears as a Taken captain or minotaur and should spawn in one of three locations: in front of the entrance to Harbinger’s Seclude or on the far ends of the upper-section bridge in the area (both east and west).

Upon its death, the saboteur will drop a relic that hinders your movement while holding it. To empower the relic (and to restore your agility), you’ll need to run through a well of awoken energy. These spawn in various locations around Rheasilvia during the event, but the easiest and safest one to get to is directly in front of the entrance to Harbinger’s Seclude.

The final step to summoning Pauurc is bringing the charged relic to a statue on one of the far islands to the right of the entrance of Harbinger’s Seclude. Pictured below is a map of the path you should take, in addition to your final destination. Upon depositing the charge at the statue (you’ll deposit it in a small pedestal to the right of the awoken statue, not directly in front of it), Pauurc will finally spawn in the center of the patrol zone.

To take down Pauurc’s shield, you’ll follow nearly the same process as before—defeat a saboteur (now directly surrounding Pauurc) and empower the relic it drops using a well of energy. Once empowered, throw the ball at Pauurc to damage his shield. Repeat the process until the shield breaks, in which case you can melt down his health using heavy weapons and Super abilities.

Riven’s Wishes Week Five Alternative: Defeat Taken Bosses

In the case of Riven’s Wishes V, the alternative to defeating Pauurc is defeating Taken bosses or minibosses within the Rheasilvia zone. Because the quest description locks this step to solely the Rheasilvia patrol zone, it can be difficult to find bosses and minibosses to complete it.

Because of that, we recommend simply waiting for the Pauurc encounter to randomly begin. However, if you instead want to chase down generic Taken minibosses, keep an eye out for the Taken Blight public event. Especially as the event progresses, more and more powerful Taken enemies will spawn, making it the best way to get through the quest if you plan on avoiding Pauurc entirely.
