Best Last Wish Weapons in Destiny 2: Tier List

by | Feb 2, 2024

With the addition of weekly Riven Wishes as part of the Moments of Triumph event, Red border weapons from the Last Wish raid are more accessible than ever. However, you might be wondering which weapons are superior and actually worth farming.

This guide will answer that question and provide you with the god rolls you should aim for.

How to get Wish Tokens?

A Wish Token can be acquired when completing a “Riven’s Wishes” quest step. A total of six quests will be released in this series, similar to the weekly quests Guardians have come to expect for seasonal storylines. They will be released once per week from 1/30 to 3/5, with all of them remaining available until The Final Shape launches on June 4.

The six quests can be completed once per account and reward one Wish Token each. Because this is the only way to obtain these tokens, there’s no way to farm them (or get more than six). We cover How to get Wish Tokens in detail here.

Last Wish Weapons to Farm: Ranked from Worst to Best

Are you ready to dig deeper into some of the best raid weapons in Destiny 2? These are our favorite Last Wish weapons, ranked from worst to best (for PvE and PvP):

Chattering Bone Destiny 2 featured Pulse rifle

8. Chattering Bone

  • Ranking: C Weak

While this weapon may feel nice, Pulse Rifles aren’t good enough in high-level content, and Chattering Bone is no exception. Being a Lightweight Frame weapon, Chattering Bone does feel very nice to use. However, its low damage profile and underwhelming range don’t help it.

In PvE, we recommend a combination of Kill Clip and Kinetic Tremors. Given Chattering Bone’s relatively low damage, Kill Clip can help boost that, and Kinetic Tremors allows us to deal some AoE damage.

In PvP, a roll with Kill Clip and Rampage can do wonders, allowing players to kill enemies in just two bursts, making kill-chaining very easy.

  • PvE God roll: Kill Clip (also good: Rapid Hit) + Kinetic Tremors
  • PvP God roll: Kill Clip (also good: Rapid Hit) + Rampage

Transfiguration Destiny 2 featured Scout rifle

7. Transfiguration

  • Ranking: B Average

Transfiguration is a high-impact Scout rifle that fires 150 rounds per minute. These scouts aren’t commonly used as they rarely come with appealing perks and don’t perform well in certain pieces of content.

In PvE, Rapid Hit and Kinetic Tremors is our go-to for some AoE damage and an excellent general feel to the weapon. Kinetic Tremors also helps kill higher-health targets.
For PvP, Transfiguration can come with Rampage and Kill Clip, making it a unique weapon, allowing it to kill in two headshots on Guardians 6 Resilience or less after getting a kill.

  • PvE God roll: Rapid Hit (also good: Rampage) + Kinetic Tremors
  • PvP God roll: Rampage (also good: Keep Away) + Kill Clip

Age Old Bond Destiny 2 featured auto rifle

6. Age-Old Bond

  • Ranking: B Average (Excels in PvE)

Age-Old Bond isn’t necessarily a poor weapon, but it simply doesn’t feel too great to use. Being a high-impact frame Auto Rifle, Age-Old Bond can feel clunky and annoying when you could just use an SMG instead. This being said, it does come with some solid perks, making it a decent option.

In PvE, A combination of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds will allow you to fully lean into a Void build. However, if you don’t want to go all in on Void, Fourth Time’s The Charm and Target Lock work great together, as Fourth Time’s The Charm will extend the magazine for Target Lock to ramp up.

In PvP, Tap The Trigger and Kill Clip will provide a nice balance between consistency and lethality, with Tap The Trigger granting extra accuracy for those first few shots and Kill Clip having that significantly increased damage on kill.

  • PvE God roll: Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds (also good: Fourth Time’s the Charm + Target Lock)
  • PvP God roll: Tap The Trigger + Kill Clip (also good: Dynamic Sway Reduction + Target Lock)

Tyranny of Heaven Destiny 2 featured Bow

5. Tyranny of Heaven

  • Ranking: B Average (Excels in PvE)

A solid Solar bow, Tyranny of Heaven is a Lightweight Bow, meaning it has a bit less damage than other options, but it still feels nice to use as Bows are naturally very hard-hitting. With some solid perks, Tyranny of Heaven is a decent weapon to add to your arsenal if you enjoy using Bows.

In PvE, we suggest players hunt for an Archer’s Tempo and Incandescent roll. The draw speed that Archer’s Tempo grants alongside the AoE damage of Incandescent makes this bow feel good to use.

There aren’t many perk options in PvP, but Explosive Head and Golden Tricorn let you flinch your enemies. These perks also enable you to two-shot body-shot enemies after a kill or even one-shot to the head if you manage to get Golden Tricorn x2.

  • PvE God roll: Archer’s Tempo (also good: Successful Warm-up) + Incandescent
  • PvP God roll: Explosive Head (also good: Successful Warm-up) + Golden Tricorn

Nation of Beasts hand cannon Destiny 2 featured

4. Nation of Beasts

  • Ranking: A Strong(Excels in PvE and PvP)

Nation of Beasts is a fan-favourite option for good reason, too. This Arc Hand Cannon is quite the powerhouse with the right perks. While it does face some stiff competition, there is no Arc Hand Cannon better than it, and it’s certainly not a bad pick.

In PvE, players should choose Dragonfly and Voltshot. Voltshot is the mainstay perk here, as there aren’t too many potent options in perk column 1, but Dragonfly can provide a small additional burst to help Voltshot secure the kill.

In PvP, we recommend Keep Away and Explosive Payload. Explosive Payload artificially extends the weapon’s range, and Keep Away allows you to have many boosted stats if you keep your distance, making this combo excellent.

  • PvE God roll: Dragonfly (also good: Keep Away) + Voltshot
  • PvP God roll: Keep Away (also good: Opening Shot) + Explosive Payload

We cover the top Nation of Beasts God rolls here.

Techeun Force Fusion rifle Destiny 2

3. Techeun Force

  • Ranking: A Strong(Excels in PvE and PvP)

Techeun Force is a powerful weapon and is close to being one of the strongest Fusion Rifles in the game. However, Adaptive Frames are slightly weaker options than their rapid-fire and high-impact counterparts, bumping Techeun Force down a little.

In PvE, we recommend a combination of Rewind Rounds and Controlled Burst. Rewind Rounds constantly grants ammo back to the magazine, and Controlled Burst capitalizes on this, allowing you to continually fire damage-buffed Fusion Rifle shots.

In PvP, players should opt for Under Pressure and High-Impact Reserves. Adaptive Frame Fusions can struggle to secure kills in 5 bolts, meaning High-Impact Reserves can give that little bump needed.

  • PvE God roll: Rewind Rounds (also good: Reconstruction) + Controlled Burst
  • PvP God roll: Under Pressure + High-Impact Reserves (also good: Rangefinder)

The Supremacy Destiny 2 featured Sniper rifle

2. The Supremacy

  • Ranking: S Best(Excels in PvE)

The Supremacy is the cream of the crop when it comes to Legendary Sniper Rifles. With its solid archetype and fantastic perk combinations, Supremacy is the definitive backup damage weapon for many players.

In PvE, there is only one combination players should hunt for: Rewind Rounds and Fourth Time’s The Charm. This combination allows players to fire off many shots while being very ammo-efficient.
In PvP, we recommend Snapshot Sights and Opening Shot. This combo feels very nice to use, and Opening Shot provides additional consistency and ease of use.

  • PvE God roll: Rewind Rounds + Fourth Time’s the Charm
  • PvP God roll: Snapshot Sights + Opening Shot (also good: Vorpal Weapon)

Apex Predator rocket launcher

1. Apex Predator

  • Ranking: S Best(Excels in PvE)

Easily the best weapon from Last Wish, Apex Predator is the top dog for Rocket Launchers. Thanks to the raw strength of Rocket Launcher DPS this season, it’s no surprise that Apex Predator, with its favourable archetype and excellent perks, is in incredibly high demand.

In PvE, players should choose Reconstruction and Bait and Switch. This combo makes this weapon truly special as a DPS option, thanks to Bait and Switch’s 35% damage buff and Reconstruction’s auto-loading properties.

In PvP, players can go for Tracking Module and Vorpal Weapon. The perks don’t necessarily matter much, but they will make the weapon more straightforward to use while also making killing Supers more consistent.

  • PvE God roll: Reconstruction + Bait and Switch (also good: Surrounded)
  • PvP God roll: Tracking Module + Vorpal Weapon
