Over two months after its release, Season of the Wish is still supplying Guardians with new content. For the next month and a half, that content will be released weekly in the form of Riven’s Wishes.
This concept is entirely new, so many players have tons of questions involving the quests, currency, and rewards surrounding it. Today, we’ll cover everything there is to know about the powerful new currency introduced with Wishes, Wish Tokens. Let’s begin.
What are Riven’s Wish Tokens?
Wish Tokens are a currency specific to Season of the Wish’s “Riven’s Wishes” weekly quests. A total of six can be obtained per account, with one available per weekly quest. This currency will expire once The Final Shape launches later this year.
Once acquired, Wish Tokens can be spent at Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. for a variety of rare goods.

How to get Wish Tokens?
As stated previously, Wish Tokens come from Riven’s Wishes. A total of six quests will be released in this series, similar to the weekly quests Guardians have come to expect for seasonal storylines. They will be released once per week from 1/30 to 3/5, with all of them continuing to stay available up until The Final Shape launches on June 4.
Riven’s Wishes, Destiny 2
The six quests can be completed once per account and reward one Wish Token each. Because this is the only way to obtain these tokens, there’s no way to farm them (or get more than six). Here are the objectives for each of the wishes:
- Week 1 (1/30): Complete 3 Rift Generator Public Events & complete 30 Dreaming City activities.
- Week 2 (2/6): Open 7 Ascendant Chests (via a Tincture of Queensfoil).
- Week 3 (2/13): Defeat 1600 combatants in Legend or Master Lost Sectors.
- Week 4 (2/20): Complete a Tier 3 Blind Well and defeat 1500 targets in the Blind Well.
- Week 5 (2/27): Defeat 80 Taken Bosses or Pauurc, the Farseer’s Heir
- Week 6 (3/5): Complete the Prophecy Dungeon
Do note that the exact numbers of each quest are subject to change. For instance, the Week 1 quest progresses faster if you complete more difficult Dreaming City activities.

Clearly, there are a lot of items you can obtain through Wish Tokens. But what should you prioritize?
First, we recommend spending enough on red-border Apex Predator copies to fully unlock its pattern (up to five, if you’ve never obtained one before). The weapon is at the top of the DPS meta right now and is expected to stay that way through The Final Shape, making it an easy priority if you don’t have it already.
Beyond that, Wish Tokens can be spent on whatever you deem most necessary. Whether that be masterwork materials, high-stat Exotic armor, or additional Last Wish weapons, you can’t really go wrong here.
