How to get Naeem’s Lance

Naeem’s Lance is one of the weapons from the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon. Unfortunately, this is the only weapon not to drop from the first (and easiest) encounter, as it can only come from the second and third encounters, but this isn’t the end of the world, as players can farm these encounters quickly, too.

How good is Naeem’s Lance

Naeem’s Lance is a part of the Rapid-Fire archetype of snipers, giving it a nice boost in viability as 140RPM snipers are solid in terms of Special weapon DPS (Damage per second). It is also the second Strand Sniper altogether, making it a viable option if you are looking to match your elemental surges with a powerful Strand DPS weapon like the Cataphract GL3 or Koraxis Distress.

Unfortunately, Naeem’s Lance falls short if we compare it directly against other snipers. In PvE, the perk pool is quite sad, with the only two acceptable perks being Reconstruction and Precision Instrument. Every other perk on this weapon for PvE is either incredibly niche or is simply not a good perk right now. Naeem’s is held up by its Strand elemental type and its ability to match with powerful Strand DPS weapons. However, this alone doesn’t make Naeem’s Lance good, and you could just use a Strand Fusion Rifle instead. All of these factors combined give it a C-tier rating. It only has one acceptable perk combination, other potential weapons grossly outclass it, and it depends on Strand DPS weapons being powerful to even consider usage.

In PvP, it doesn’t get better for Naeem’s Lance. Keep Away and Discord are solid perks, but they are in the same column, meaning there is nothing in the second perk column that is good for PvP. Demolitionist is probably the best you’ll get, and that is not a great perk on a PvP sniper. Rapid-fire snipers are also pretty unpopular due to their lower damage than 72 or 90RPM options. Due to all of this, Naeem’s Lance gets a D-tier rating. There is pretty much nothing redeemable about this weapon in PvP, and you’d be better off with almost any other sniper in the game.

Naeem’s Lance Perks and God Rolls

The Naeem’s Lance can roll with the following perks:

• Perk 1: Reconstruction, Keep Away, Hatchling, Discord, Loose Change
• Perk 2: Demolitionist, High Ground, Slice, Attrition Orbs, Deconstruct, Precision Instrument

Naeem’s Lance PvE god roll

• Barrel: Fluted Barrel
• Magazine: Appended Mag or Extended Mag
• Perk 1: Reconstruction
• Perk 2: Precision Instrument
• Masterwork: Handling

There is a clear-cut god roll for this weapon. Fluted Barrel is the best choice for your barrel as it provides a decent boost to Handling, which is helpful when swapping between this weapon and a Heavy Weapon during damage.

Appended Mag (or Extended Mag) synergises with our first perk, Reconstruction, as it allows the magazine capacity to grow even higher due to the two additional bullets provided, and Precision Instrument provides a solid damage 25% damage bonus at maximum stacks after six bullets which you will have due to Reconstruction and Appended Mag.

• Barrel: Fluted Barrel
• Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
• Perk 1: Keep Away or Discord
• Perk 2: Demolitionist
• Masterwork: Handling or Stability

Fluted Barrel is the best option as it provides both Handling and Stability to the weapon. These stats are invaluable in PvP as high Handling can let you swap to another weapon like an SMG in a pinch, and Stability reduces the flinch you receive. We take Ricochet Rounds for a similar reason, as this gives a nice bump to your Stability stat.

Perk 1 can either be Keep Away or Discord. Discord is more useful if you are confident in hitting your first shot but requires a kill to activate; meanwhile, Keep Away gives a slight bump to accuracy due to the range increase and accuracy cone decrease after your first shot.

Players should look for a Handling or Stability masterwork to give a nice quality-of-life boost to some important stats.
