In this post, we cover the entire Grasp of Avarice loot table, including all the weapons and armor. But we’ll take it one step further and guide you through the best farming methods to help you find your dream god roll sooner rather than later.
Destiny 2 Grasp of Avarice Loot Table
This table covers all the loot found in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon, including weapons and armor, per encounter:
First Encounter Ogre | Second Encounter Servitor | Third Encounter Final Boss |
---|---|---|
Shotgun | | Shotgun | | Shotgun | |
Sword| | Sword| | Sword| |
Hand Cannon | |
||
Sniper Rifle | |
||
| Legs | | Chest | | Helm |
| Class Item | | Arms | | Arms |
| Legs |
||
| Class Item |
You can find more Destiny 2 loot tables here.
PS: You might see some slightly different loot tables out there and the reason for that is that most loot tables were created on Week 1, but were never updated. Clearly, the community needed one more week of farming to secure more clears and 100% confirm what loot drops when and where.

Master Grasp of Avarice Loot
Grasp of Avarice is the only dungeon in Destiny 2 to have a Master version. Bungie promises that more Master versions are coming to endgame content, but for the moment, only Vault of Glass and Grasp of Avarice have it.
While the Vault of Glass raid offers adept weapons to those who complete its Master version, Grasp of Avarice offers something entirely unique: Artifice armor.
From Reddit user u/Spawnling
In a nutshell, Artifice armor is unique because it offers a bonus Mod slot. Its intrinsic perk reads:
This armor contains a bonus socket that can be used to equid artifact armor mods from the current Season.
While most armor only offers 4 slots, Artifice armor offers 5:
- 1 General slot
- 2 Armor type slots (Helmet, legs, etc)
- 1 bonus Artifact slot
- 1 Combat style slot
This may not sound like much, but if you’re into endgame content and/or experimenting with intricate builds, having an extra armor slot can make a huge difference.
How to farm Grasp of Avarice
Farming this dungeon for unlimited loot is easier than you think. All you need is a committed Fireteam and a couple of hours ahead of you.
This is how you can go about farming the Grasp of Avarice dungeon:
- Go through the dungeon on your first character until you reach the encounter you want to farm.
- Start the encounter and wipe (i.e. die without beating it).
- Ask your Fireteam to wait. Change characters and log into a character that hasn’t run the dungeon that week.
- On that second character, join again your Fireteam.
- Wipe again. Now your second character has the proper checkpoint.
And that’s it. You can now farm that encounter ad nauseam until reset! To continue farming, you need to:
- Launch the dungeon using your second character (the one that is holding the checkpoint).
- Change characters and rejoin your Fireteam on your first character.
- Complete the encounter for loot.
- Exit the dungeon, switch characters again, and repeat Step 1.
This is how you can technically farm the dungeon. Now, if you want the best strategies to actually complete the encounters fast, I suggest you check out this video from my friend Pattycakes:

On top of rewarding loot when completing the three main encounters, the dungeon also has several hidden chests. This video covers their location.

Destiny 2 Grasp of Avarice Armor
Continuing the trend started with the Prophecy dungeon, Grasp of Avarice also offers an exclusive armor set:
And just as both of Prophecy’s armor sets, these are top-notch, perhaps among my all-time favorites.
The Last Word
The Grasp of Avarice dungeon is hands down one of the best PVE activities in the entire game right now. Not only is it an exciting and challenging activity to tackle with your fireteam, but it also includes absolutely top-notch weapons and armor.
How are you liking this dungeon so far? Would you also call it your favorite?
Eyesluna also drops from the ogre encounter. That was my first drop doing the dungeon at all.
