This guide covers every Solstice armor set in Destiny 2, including the brand-new set released this year.

Solstice schedule

Solstice 2023 started this Tuesday, July 18, 2023, and will be available to all players for free until August 8, 2023.

  • Solstice starts on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 9 AM PDT
  • Solstice ends on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 9 AM PDT

2023 Solstice armor sets: Season 21

This year, this Summer’s Solstice event features the Sunlit armor sets for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans:

For the record, this is not an armor set but an ornament. This means it won’t feature an intrinsic perk as the Iron Banner sets do, for example. However, as an ornament, you’ll be able to use it on your current armor without having to use transmog.

How to get the Solstice armor set: Bight Dust

Unlike armor sets that drop from specific activities, Solstice ornaments can only be purchased at the Eververse store with either Silver or Bright Dust.

  • Each set costs 6,000 Bright Dust: This is exactly the same cost as for all seasonal events.

If you play your cards right and have enough Bright Dust saved up, you can get any Solstice ornament for free. If you are currently very low on Bright Dust, prioritize completing all the weekly Solstice bounties available at Eva Levante’s. These become available as soon as the event starts.

How to enter the Solstice 2023 event

To enter the Solstice event, you simply need to visit Eva Levante at the Tower once the event becomes available. She will provide you with a quest and any other item you may require. If you’re new, don’t worry, Solstice is a straightforward event, and Eva’s quest does a good job explaining the different mechanics.

Solstice s is a free yearly event that is open to all players. Originally launched in Destiny 1 under a different name, Solstice continues to evolve, featuring more and better activities and mechanics each year. This time around, Solstice features an overhauled PvE game mode called the Bonfire Bash:

The festivities run from July 18 through August 8, during which Guardians can play the Bonfire Bash activity to earn rewards, including high-stat armor and the first-ever Strand Rocket Launcher, Crowning Duologue.

On top of new armor sets, you can also chase a new title, sparrows, and a brand-new rocket launcher!

Before you go…

Solstice is one of the four yearly events in Destiny 2, alongside the Dawning, Guardian Games, and Festival of the Lost. If you’re interested in top-tier armor, these events are a must.
