Destiny 2’s 2024 Dawning event is upon us, and it features exclusive gear and improvements to its core mechanics. Dawning 2024 also offers a brand-new armor set that can be acquired for free, provided you play your cards right.
This guide covers every Dawning armor set in Destiny 2, including the new one released this year.

2024 The Dawning schedule
The Dawning returns to Destiny 2 on December 10, 2024, and will be available to all players until December 31, 2024.
- The Dawning starts on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 9 AM PDT
- The Dawning ends on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 9 AM PDT
2024 Dawning armor sets
This year, the Dawning event features the new Astral Stasis Drake sets:

For the record, this is not an armor set but an ornament. It won’t feature an intrinsic perk like the Iron Banner sets do. However, as an ornament, you’ll be able to use it on your current armor without having to spend Synthweave.
How to get the Dawning armor set: Bight Dust
Unlike armor sets that drop from specific activities, Dawning ornaments can only be purchased at the Eververse store with either Silver or Bright Dust.
- Each set costs 6,000 Bright Dust (the same for all seasonal events).
If you play your cards right and have enough Bright Dust saved up, you can get any Dawning ornament for free. But if you are currently low on Bright Dust, prioritize completing all the weekly Dawning bounties available at Eva Levante’s. These become available as soon as the event starts.

How to enter the Dawning 2024 event
To enter the Dawning event, you must visit Eva Levante at the Tower once the event becomes available. She will provide you with a quest and any other item you may require.
