When is The Dawning 2024 starting?
The Dawning returns to Destiny 2 on December 10, 2024, and will be available to all players until December 31, 2024.
- The Dawning starts on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 9 AM PDT
- The Dawning ends on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 9 AM PDT
The event lasts for three weeks and occurs once per year.

What is The Dawning
The Dawning is a yearly event that is available to all players for free. Taking place in December, it features a strong Christmas/Winter theme. How to enter The Dawning
To enter the Dawning event, you must visit Eva Levante at the Tower once the event becomes available. She will provide you with Winter Night quest and any other item you may require.
If you’re new, don’t worry. Dawning is a straightforward event, and Eva’s quest does a good job of explaining the different mechanics. It’s all about collecting ingredients and baking cookies! The Dawning is a free yearly event that is open to all players.
Dawning Rewards: 2024 Edition
Let’s be honest: most of us play these events not because we like the activity but because we want to grab all the loot before the event is over. Dawning is not any different, but on the flip side, it has even more loot to offer this time around. On top of offering themed armor sets, it also features a brand-new weapon.
Armor sets
The most sought-after Dawning rewards are usually the armor sets. This year, the event features the Stasis Drake armor sets for all three classes:
