Destiny 2 Dawning Recipes 2024: Ingredients & Rewards

The Dawning is upon us and comes with the usual wide selection of cookies to bake and give to the various Destiny 2 characters across the universe, including Ikora and Lord Shaxx. It’s worth noting that the cookies previously reserved for Sloan in Titan, Asher Mir in IO, and so on, have been replaced by cookies for Shaw Han and Variks.

2024 The Dawning schedule

The Dawning returns to Destiny 2 on December 10, 2024, and will be available to all players until December 31, 2024.

Dawning Recipes

Unlike the Festival of the Lost or Solstice events, The Dawning doesn’t feature a unique activity. This event is all about baking cookies and delivering them to NPCs in exchange for Dawning-exclusive rewards.

Dawning Ingredients

All those cookies will require a lot of ingredients, so prepare for intense farming! Some ingredients randomly drop from defeating common enemies, others from defeating enemies in specific ways, and others from completing activities. Essence of Dawning:

Unlike most ingredients that drop from defeating enemies, Essence of Dawning only drops from completing activities.

💠 Pro tip: You can also earn Essence of Dawning by simply equipping the “Starfarer 7M” ship to earn extra materials when you get ingredients

Common ingredients (from killing specific enemy types):

• Vex Milk: Collected when defeating Vex enemies
• Ether Cane: Collected when defeating Fallen enemies
• Cabal Oil: Collected when defeating Cabal enemies
• Chitin Powder: Collected when defeating Hive enemies
• Taken Butter: Collected when defeating Taken enemies
• Dark Ether Cane: Collected when defeating Scorn enemies

Rare ingredients (from performing specific types of kills):

• Delicious Explosions: Collected from explosive kills
• Sharp Flavor: Collected from sword kills
• Impossible Heat: Collected from solar kills (from either class abilities or weapons)
• Electric Flavor: Collected from Arc kills (from either class abilities or weapons)
• Null Taste: Collected from Void kills (from either class abilities or weapons)
• Flash of Inspiration: Collected when generating Orbs of Power (from Masterworked weapons or Supers)
• Personal Touch: Collected from melee kills
• Perfect Taste: Collected from precision kills
• Bullet Spray: Collected from kills with automatic weapons (Machine guns, auto rifles, or submachine guns)
• Finishing Touch: Collected from kills with Finishers
• Multifaceted Flavors: Collected from multikills

Dawning rewards

The Dawning’s rewards for 2024 are just as good, if not better, than last year’s rewards, including a brand-new Linear Fusion Rifle and perhaps the best-looking Dawning armor we have seen. This great-looking 2024 Dawning armor set can be either purchased with Silver or Bright Dust.

And while the armor sets and the new weapon are my main targets, there are also ornaments, a brand-new memento, and other Exotic items up for grabs!
