How good is Ammit AR2

Despite its status as a “tutorial weapon,” Ammit AR2 manages to excel past most of its competition in all areas of the game. In PvE, the presence of Incandescent is enough to make Ammit worth running. While there are a plethora of similar options available (and newer perks that are gradually rising in popularity), this auto rifle is a solid and reliable choice for any Solar build you have in mind.

In PvP, it benefits from a suite of stat-boosting perks that add to this archetype’s already potent feel. It’s no wonder it’s still a go-to weapon for casual and competitive players alike. Ammit AR2 is A-Tier in PvE and A-Tier in PvP.

As with most primary weapons in PvE, stats aren’t too much of an issue for Ammit. However, we’ll opt for high range and reload speed through Smallbore, Flared Magwell, and either a range or reload speed masterwork.

Stats for All and Incandescent is widely regarded as the best perk combination here, offering both extra stat boosts and Solar element synergy. However, opting for a pure workhorse option isn’t uncommon, in which case we’d recommend One for All instead of Incandescent.

When building Ammit AR2 for use in The Crucible, your main goal is consistency through an even stat package.

With this goal in mind, we’ll focus mainly on building into range to compete with other options like pulse rifles. Hammer-Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, and a range Masterwork all contribute to this.

Dynamic Sway Reduction and Tap the Trigger are generally preferred as your two main perks for similar reasons: they contribute to Ammit’s consistency and ease of use, making it a potent yet blueberry-friendly option. While some community members swear by more experimental options like Incandescent, anything other than the above is realistically not worth the hassle.

How to get Ammit AR2

To obtain Ammit’s crafting pattern (which opens up opportunities for enhanced perks and fully customizable rolls), all you’ll need to do is complete The Enclave’s tutorial quest, entitled “Foundry Resonance. If you’re having trouble spotting it, ensure you’ve started The Witch Queen campaign (no need to purchase the DLC; just play through the two free-to-access missions).
