Now that rocket launchers have been a major player in the PvE meta for a few seasons, the community eyes every new one closely.
Today, we’ll look at Crux Termination IV, an arc rocket launcher new with Season of the Wish. From looking at how it ranks among fierce competition to explaining its best rolls, we’ll cover everything you’ll need to know regarding this weapon.

How to get Crux Termination IV
Crux Termination IV is one of many weapons from the world loot pool. As of Season of the Wish, there is no direct path to obtaining this rocket launcher over any other world drop weapon. However, once The Final Shape launches, players should expect Crux Termination IV to become a part of the rotating weapon pool available from Legend and Master lost sectors.

How good is Crux Termination IV
Simply being from the world loot pool, many expected Crux Termination IV to fall flat compared to its competition. However, the weapon does have redeeming qualities that help it excel to—and even past—the level of choices like Apex Predator and Cold Comfort.
That said, Crux Termination IV’s power is significantly more situational than that of more popular picks. This means that, while Crux Termination IV is better by the numbers, you’re more likely to see options like Apex Predator used over it for their consistency. In PvP, there isn’t much that sets this rocket apart from the rest, but that isn’t entirely a bad thing. In The Crucible, a rocket launcher is a rocket launcher, and this one gets the job done just fine.
Because of this, Crux Termination IV is S-Tier in PvE and B-Tier in PvP.

Crux Termination IV Perks and God Rolls
The Doomed Petitioner linear fusion rifle can roll with the following perks:
- Perk 1: Clown Cartridge, Permeability, Slideshot, Envious Assassin, Reconstruction, Eddy Current
- Perk 2: Bipod, Explosive Light, Surrounded, Demolitionist, Tracking Module, Quickdraw
Crux Termination IV PvE god roll
- Launcher: Barrel: Hard Launch (also good: Quick Launch)
- Battery: Impact Casing
- Perk 1: Reconstruction (also good: Envious Assassin)
- Perk 2: Surrounded
- Masterwork: Velocity
While some may argue that the endlessly fun combination of Slideshot and Bipod should been mentioned here, there are some other rolls that we believe to be objectively better.
Starting with the launcher barrel and magazine, Hard Launch and Impact Casing are, as always, the top picks. Perk one depends on how you plan to use Crux Termination IV: use Reconstruction for a full DPS rotation with weapon swaps or Envious Assassin for high burst damage.
The final column of perks is where the star of this weapon arrives: Surrounded. Granting an absurd 40% increase in damage, this perk even tops S-Tier picks like Bait and Switch. However, if you choose to use it, you’ll need to communicate with your fireteam to leave some enemies alive during DPS.
Crux Termination IV PvP god roll
- Launcher: Quick Launch
- Battery: Black Powder
- Perk 1: Slideshot
- Perk 2: Quickdraw (also good: Tracking Module)
- Masterwork: Blast Radius
Crux Termination IV isn’t all too special in The Crucible, but it still will get the job done if you plan on using it.
We’ll start with the combination of Quick Launch and Black Powder to incrase both blast radius and velocity without sacrificing any other important stats. From there, all of the perks in column one are relatively weak, but we suggest Slideshot over any others.
To round things out, Quickdraw is our first pick for the final column. However, you can easily replace this with Tracking Module if you prefer.
