Destiny 2 World Loot Pool Weapons

While most weapons in Destiny 2 can be acquired by completing specific challenges or activities (such as raids, seasonal events, etc.), some weapons only drop randomly while playing the game. This can be seen as a good thing, as they are not locked behind a particularly difficult activity, but on the flip side, they are nearly impossible to farm. These weapons are part of the World loot pool.

These are the different Tier levels used for our list:

• S Tier – Best: Highest ranking weapons in our Tier List.
• A Tier – Strong: Very strong weapons, but not on the same level as S Tier Choices.
• B Tier – Average: Decent choices that can be lethal in the hands of a skilled player.
• C Tier – Weak: The middle of the pack, somewhat mediocre.
• D Tier – Worst: Lagging behind the competition, these don’t have much to offer.

Destiny 2 World loot weapons farm: Where to find them

The World loot pool mostly features returning weapons from Destiny 2’s Year 1. For the most part, these are somewhat average weapons, and you will rarely find yourself craving a specific World loot weapon. But exceptions do appear. Also, some top-tier weapons that were previously connected to an old seasonal activity may end up as part of the World loot pool. The infamous IKELOS-SMG is the perfect example.

World loot pool weapons, Destiny 2

The problem with weapons from the World loot pool is that they are impossible to target-farm. Unlike a raid or dungeon weapon which can be farmed by completing the relevant encounters over and over, World loot weapons aren’t connected to any activity in particular. Plus, the World loot pool is so big, the chances you get the exact weapon you want are slim.

There are other ways to acquire World loot weapons, but these are just as unreliable. Both Xûr and the Gunsmith both offer weapons from the World loot pool every week. Make sure you visit both of them weekly in case they happen to sell the exact weapon you’re looking for.
