It’s not always that a World Drop weapon becomes popular, but when they do, it’s because they have something no other weapon has. That’s more than true for Ded Gramarye IV, an Arc Legendary Lightweight Frame Shotgun that was released last episode. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about it.

How good is Ded Gramarye IV
While at first glance it might seem like any old shotgun, Ded Gramarye IV has a perk combo that makes it exceptionally fun: Discord and Chain Reaction. Discord is a free ammo perk, as any kills while it is active refunds ammo, and while it only refunds 1 at a time even with multikills, Chain Reaction’s explosion will make that irrelevant. It’s also got Surrounded if you just want more damage.
In PvP, there are obviously far better shotguns to use, but it’s one of very few to roll with Disruption Break, which increases Kinetic damage by 50% after breaking a shield. So, if you don’t land the kill, you can swap to your primary and land a quick cleanup!

The Ded Gramarye IV shotgun can roll with the following perks:

- Perk 2: Chain Reaction, Vorpal Weapon, Disruption Break, Surrounded, Voltshot, Golden Tricorn
- Origin Trait: Wild Card.

Since shotguns don’t have a large precision multiplier, we’re going with Full Choke to ensure all pellets hit, which can be very useful for smaller targets. Assault Mag is perfect as it bumps the fire rate a bit.
For Perk 1, not much else compares to Discord. While it takes a kill with a different weapon to start, the free ammo it gives on each kill while it’s active is more than worth it. And it doesn’t matter what kind of weapon it is, so you could in theory use this with another special weapon. Perk 2 has a lot of good PvP options, but Chain Reaction is the clear winner. If you want damage, Surrounded is a viable alternative.

Same with PvE, we want all pellets to land for max damage, so Full Choke it is. For the mag, Accurized Rounds will help push the effective range out a bit.
Perk 1 will be Threat Detector. While Slickdraw is fine for shotguns, Lightweight Frames have high base handling, and Slickdraw’s buff changes the ready speed by .12s, so not really a huge difference. But if that matters to you, go for it. Perk 2 has no better option than Disruption Break. The ability to recover from a bad play is instrumental to winning, and the 50% Kinetic damage boost it gives after breaking a shield gives you that ability. While most might go for the shotgun-punch combo, being able to take this from afar is huge.
How to get Ded Gramarye IV
Unlike most World Drops, Ded Gramarye IV can be farmed from Expert Lost Sectors whenever it is part of the rotation, with Master difficulty completions dropping with double perks! We cover the entire Lost Sector rotation here.
Outside of this, opening Legendary, Gunsmith, and Clan vendor engrams and using the Tonic of Energy Weaponry are non-time-sensitive methods for farming.
