Destiny 2 Heliocentric QSc: God Rolls & How to get it

by | Mar 26, 2024

Sidearms seldom get much attention from the community at large. Whether that be because of a general distaste for them or the lack of influential ones in the sandbox, many players don’t even bat an eye towards newer options.

Today, we’ll be diving into perhaps one of the most overlooked primary weapon releases in the past two seasons: Heliocentric QSc.

How to get the Heliocentric QSc

Heliocentric QSc is one of countless weapons available from the world loot pool in Destiny 2. While it’s obtainable from any activity through random legendary and prime engram drops, it’s also absurdly difficult to farm for.

The only real way to obtain this weapon directly as of Season of the Wish is to hope that Banshee-44 sells it directly on a day that you’re logged in. Other than that, simply playing the game and praying for a drop is the only way to get this weapon.

How good is the Heliocentric QSc

While not potent enough to be even close to considered a part of the meta, Heliocentric QSc has enough going for it that it may be worth farming for.

In PvE, this weapon has more good perks than bad. From buildcrafting options like Demolitionist and Incandescent to generically potent ones such as Frenzy and Heal Clip, there’s no end to the opportunities Heliocentric provides. While it likely won’t replace your go-to hand cannon or submachine gun, the weapon provides enough utility to at least be considered as a backup Champion weapon.

In The Crucible, Heliocentric falls into the same category. While it can outclass similar options at optimal range, the weapon is unlikely to win over players who aren’t traditionally sidearm fans.

As a result, Heliocentric QSc is S-Tier in both PvE and PvP.

Heliocentric QSc PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Smallbore
  • Magazine: Flared Magwell
  • Perk 1: Demolitionist or Heal Clip
  • Perk 2: Frenzy or Incandescent
  • Masterwork: Range

Heliocentric QSc has tons of options for PvE, making it easier to find a good roll than a bad one. Either way, let’s take a look at the best combinations the weapon has to offer.

We’ll start with Smallbore, Flared Magwell, and a range masterwork to gain a nice mix of extra range, stability, and reload speed. From there, Demolitionist and Heal Clip are both outstanding first column picks, even if you don’t have a specific build in mind.

As for the final column of perks, Frenzy is great for general potency if you’re just looking for something to casually demolish enemies with. Incandescent is the other stand-out here, allowing for potent synergy with Solar builds.

Heliocentric QSc PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Perk 1: Moving Target (also good: Heal Clip)
  • Perk 2: Kill Clip (also good: Precision Instrument)
  • Masterwork: Range

While Heliocentric QSc is extremely potent in PvE, its true claim to fame is its general consistency and potency within The Crucible.

We’ll start by seeking as much range as possible through Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, and a range masterwork. From there, Moving Target is our top pick for the first column perk, although you can’t go wrong with any of the perks here.

As for the final column, Kill Clip is our personal choice due to its general consistency and synergy with Heal Clip (arguably the second-best perk in column one). However, many also swear by Precision Instrument, which is absurdly strong but does require you to be more accurate with your shots.
