Destiny 2 Eriana’s Vow Catalyst: How to get it in 2022

by | Feb 20, 2022

[toc] This quick guide will tell you everything there is to know about Eriana’s Vow’s catalyst. Namely, how to get it, how to unlock it once you’ve found it, and more importantly, is it even worth it?

And that last part is important because Exotic catalysts can be extremely hard to find and/or unlock, but the benefits are not always up to par.

How to get Eriana’s Vow’s catalyst

As every other Exotic weapon from the Season Pass:

The catalyst for Eriana’s Vow drops when completing a quest from Banshee-44 in the Tower.

Unlike other catalysts that are purely RNG-based, Eriana’s Vow’s is straightforward to acquire. Granted, it will take a long time to acquire and unlock, but at least you won’t have to depend on having “good luck” to even find it. More on that below.

How to unlock the catalyst?

Once you have found the catalyst, you will have to get 700 kills to unlock it.

Can you farm Eriana’s Vow catalyst?

When it comes to finding the Catalyst, you won’t have to, as it can only drop from completing a quest. The quest is long and will ask you to play a lot of playlist activities though.

When it comes to unlocking the Catalyst when found, there are definitely ways to farm it. The most famous method remains to visit the Shuro Shi checkpoint in the Last Wish raid. If you’re unfamiliar with it, you can check this guide.

Eriana’s Vow Catalyst Perks

The Eriana’s Vow catalyst adds the following perk:

  • More to Give perk: Increases magazine size by +3 and adds the perk, Auto-Loading Holster.

Needless to say, these two additions are excellent for PVE, making this a top-tier catalyst for an already excellent PVE weapon!

How to get the weapon?

Getting the Eriana’s Vow Hand Cannon is as straightforward as it gets: It can only be acquired from the Exotics Kiosk in the Tower, officially known as the Monument to Lost Lights.

The Exotics Kiosk is where all the Exotic weapons that are no longer available from the original source end up (such as previous Season Pass exclusives or weapons whose dedicated quests were removed from the game). In the meantime, these are the exact requirements to purchase Eriana’s Vow:

  • 1 Exotic Cipher
  • 100,000 Glimmer
  • 150 Helium Filaments
  • 1 Ascendant Shard

You can read all about the Monument to Lost Lights, including costs and requirements, here.

Also, you need to own the Shadowkeep expansion in order to get it.

Is the Catalyst for Eriana’s Vow worth it?

You probably already guessed the answer. This is a must-have, S-Tier catalyst:

  • S Tier – Best: Highest ranking catalysts in our Tier List.

To sum things up:

  1. Eriana’s Vow is an excellent weapon for PVE.
  2. Its catalyst is top tier as it drastically improves its DPS potential and usability in endgame PVE content.
  3. Finding its catalysts is straightforward and doesn’t depend on luck
  4. This means you can actively work on it and farm it until you have it unlocked

In other words, if you’re serious about PVE content, and most particularly endgame PVE content such as Master and Grandmaster Ordeals, then Eriana’s Vow and its catalyst are must-haves.
