How to get Circular Logic in Season 20
Circular Logic comes from the new high-level public event, Terminal Overload. While it’s a chance drop in all three zones, Zephyr Concourse guarantees the drop upon opening the locked chest with a Terminal Overload Key.
You can find these keys by doing any activities on Neomuna, but there are also a couple of guaranteed sources. One of Nimbus’ bounties lists a key as a reward, and completing the Vex Strike Force public event (located in the weekly Vex Incursion Zone) also grants one.
How good is the Circular Logic in today’s Meta?
Adaptive Frame variants have always been the go-to machine guns for most players, providing a perfect balance between all stats. This, in addition to Circular Logic’s unique Strand element, makes for a great weapon in all scenarios.
Circular Logic does see competition in other popular machine guns such as Corrective Measure, Retrofit Escapade, and THE SWARM. That said, especially in PvE, Circular Logic fills its own niche through its unique buildcrafting opportunities.
Overall, Circular Logic is an A-Tier weapon. While it may be an average machine gun in most activities, its excellent build potential pushes it slightly above the rest.

Best Circular Logic Rolls for PvE and PvP
Now that we’ve gone through how to get Circular Logic and where it may excel, what rolls should you look for?
Circular Logic PvP god roll
Stability and range are excellent for Circular Logic in PvP, so Polygonal Rifling and Ricochet Rounds are our first two picks. Because nothing else is that useful in the first column of perks, Keep Away is your best bet due to its increased accuracy and range. In the final column, Vorpal Weapon is the best choice.
- Barrel: Polygonal Rifling (also good: Smallbore)
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Perk 1: Keep Away
- Perk 2: Vorpal Weapon
Circular Logic PvE god roll
PvE is where Circular Logic excels, allowing you to utilize the full potential of Strand subclasses. Polygonal Rifling is excellent due to its extra stability, and Appended Mag provides a nice bump in magazine size. For perk one, Feeding Frenzy is the clear winner for the vastly increased reload speed. In the final column, Hatchling and Demolitionist are the best options—which one you choose depends on your build.
- Barrel: Polygonal Rifling
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Perk 1: Feeding Frenzy
- Perk 2: Hatchling or Demolitionist
