Hunters’ Remembrance: Destiny 2 Wish-Ender Quest

by | Dec 12, 2023

Hunters’ Remembrance is an Exotic quest most easily obtained through the quest archive found in either the H.E.L.M. or The Tower.

You will be required to complete several steps to complete the quest, ultimately resulting in the reward of the coveted exotic bow Wish-Ender. This bow continues to be an excellent choice in both end-game PvE and PvP with its intrinsic anti-barrier rounds and Exotic perk Queen’s Wrath, which allows the user to see enemies through walls. Nobody can hide from you!

Wish-Ender Exotic Quest Requirements

With the arrival of Season 22, Bungie modified the Wish-Ender exotic quest to simplify the steps. However, it is important to note that the Forsaken Pack is still required to access this quest. The quest will eventually require you to jump into the Shattered Throne dungeon. Don’t worry if that sounds intimidating; keep reading, and this guide will get you your bow in no time.

How To Get Wish-Ender: Walkthrough

Step 1: Obtaining the Hunters’ Remembrance Quest

After you snag your quest from the archive kiosk, the first step of this quest requires you to meet up with Petra Venj in the Dreaming City patrol destination. Petra changes her location every week but simply refer to your map in the director to find where she is camped out.

After speaking with Petra, she will give you an exotic item that will sit in your kinetic weapons inventory. Before proceeding, ensure that this item is in your inventory and not stuck at the postmaster.

Step 2: Purify the Mementos

We can now immediately jump into the Shattered Throne dungeon and find three unique enemies you’ll need to defeat to progress.

Step 3: Defeat Querim, The Waking

The first enemy can be found during the very first encounter of the dungeon in which you are defeating yellow bar “Labyrinth Architect” enemies. Instead of proceeding with the encounter normally, navigate to the near-western rooftops of the buildings in the area. You will find a glowing orb that you can grab and run east. On the central rooftops of the area, you will find a circle of techeun statues, each holding an orb – except one. Naturally, dunk the orb you are carrying in the statue without an orb. This will summon two enemies.

After defeating the first yellow bar minotaur, a second one called Querim, The Waking, will follow – this will be your first target for the quest. Dispatch your foe quickly, and you will see this objective marked completed. You can then proceed and complete the first dungeon encounter normally.

Step 4: Defeat Eriviks, The Waking

Once you reach the room, which is made up of crisscrossing trusses and Taken Ogres trying to knock you off the ledge, it is advised that you clear the room of ogres before facing your next target. Hidden behind a pillar to the right of where you entered the room is your next orb. Pick up the orb, and proceed across the trusses to the wall opposite of where you entered. You will find a familiar set of techeun statues. Dunk your orb. Proceed into the next room, which consists of a long hallway and thrall swarming you.

Pick up the orb to the immediate right when you enter the room. Run. You will be slowed down in this room, and the thrall can overwhelm you quickly, so just keep moving down the hallway with your orb in hand. You will come to the end of the hallway, which results in a large ledge that you must jump off. When you reach the bottom, turn right, and you will find your next set of techeun statues to dunk in. Proceed straight into the next area, which is a large crevice. Continue straight ahead through the open doors.

If you have done Shattered Throne before, these doors are typically closed. If you have been following this guide, you will find them open. Also, if you are doing this with fellow guardians, make sure to enter these doors at the same time because they will close behind you. Get ready to fight. Defeat enough taken here, and a yellow bar taken captain Eriviks, The Waking will spawn. This is your next target; take him out.

Step 5: Defeat Xavoth, The Awakening

Your final target is up next: an ogre. Coincidentally, this unique target ogre can be found in the first boss room, which also contains an ogre. Begin the boss encounter and focus on killing taken wizards found around the room. Each one you kill will give you a buff called Petitioner’s Mark. You need to kill 4 in total, and your buff will change to Petitioner’s Burden. Dunk the buff in one of the plates around the room, and look for a small taken minotaur that will spawn in and move about the room. It can go invisible as well, so make sure you don’t miss it.

After you defeat that minotaur, he will drop an orb. Pick up the orb and find the row of statues located along the wall. You know what to do! Deposit the orb on the statue without a ball in its hand and get ready to fight. A new ogre boss will spawn, Xavoth, The Awakening. This is your final target.

Step 6: Find Sjur Eido

Continue killing wizards and deposit the Petitioner’s Burden buff in a plate again, removing the shield on the primary boss, Vorgeth, The Boundless Hunter, and focus damage on him. Repeat this step until you defeat the boss and move on to the next room.

In the next room, you will find an elegant statue of an Awoken named Sjur Eido. Interact with Sjur Eido to hear her story; she will reward you with what you came for – the Wish-Ender exotic bow. Return to Petra Venj in the Dreaming City patrol to complete the quest.

Hunters Remembrance Reward

Congratulations on securing one of the best bows in the game! It should prove a worthy weapon in any activity you jump into, particularly for its Exotic trait, Queen’s Wrath, which gives it anti-barrier arrows and the ability to see enemies through walls.

► Wish-Ender has never been this strong or popular. With the newfound intrinsic ability to deal with Anti Barrier Champions with ease, even in Master and Grandmaster levels, and the fact that it effectively hits 3 times per arrow due to its piercing perk, Wish-Ender is currently a monster in PvE.
