Peregrine Greaves is one of the handful of Exotics that received significant buffs with the release of Season of the Wish (S23). The updates always looked good on paper, but now that we’ve got our hands on it, we can confidently say that Peregrine Greaves is now top-tier.
Today, we’ll show you how to acquire this Titan Exotic and put together one of the best Titan builds in Destiny 2.
How to get the Peregrine Greaves Exotic
As an Exotic from Year 1 of Destiny 2, Peregrine Greaves can be acquired as a random Exotic drop. The best and most efficient farming methods are:
- Legend Lost Sectors during Leg days
- Vex Strike Force events (as they work on a knockout system)
In parallel, you should visit Xur every weekend and purchase his Fated Engram, as they too work on a knockout system and will always reward you with an Exotic you don’t already have. We cover Where is Xur here.
Peregrine Greaves Buffs

The buff Peregrine Greaves received with Season of Wish (S23) is the following:
You now have to be airborne for a brief time before the Exotic effects will apply.
Damaging Champions, Tormentors, or minibosses with a Shoulder Charge deals further increased damage and refunds your melee energy.

Strategy & Gameplay Loop:
Peregrine Greaves now deal extra shoulder charge damage to Mini-bosses, Tormentors, and Champions and refund your melee after landing a hit. While the set-up is slightly different for Void and Solar, the outcome is the same:
1️⃣ Get an overshield (Void) or get max stacks of Roaring Flames (Solar)
2️⃣ If using the Tractor Cannon, tag the enemy with it to apply a 30% weaken effect
3️⃣ Run, jump, then activate your Shield Bash/Hammer Strike and watch the foe fall. You MUST be in the air for more than half a second for the perk to work.
Before you go…
