How to get Kept Confidence this Season

As a Season of the Witch weapon, there are several ways to secure your very own Kept Confidence, and most methods pertain to the seasonal content available in Season of the Witch. Begin the seasonal quest with Eris in the H.E.L.M., complete seasonal activities in Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning, and focus engrams at the ritual table.

The weapon is also craftable after securing 5 red border drops of Kept Confidence, opening the door to enhanced weapon traits and custom rolls.

How good is Kept Confidence

It is worth noting that with the arrival of Season of the Witch, Hand Cannons received a hefty buff in PvE, putting them back in the Hive-green spotlight. Currently, Kept Confidence is the most popular Hand Cannon in the game. It is also a Strand Hand Cannon, giving you access to Unraveling Rounds and, thereby, the ability to stun barrier champions.

In The Crucible, the perk combinations available here make great options for taking down your fellow Guardians. Kept Confidence is also craftable, so the opportunity for enhanced perks can take your dueling to another level should you find enough red box drops to unlock the weapon pattern.

Best Kept Confidence Rolls for PvE and PvP

Kept Confidence PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Chambered Compensator
  • Magazine: Chambered Compensator
  • Perk 1: Killing Wind
  • Perk 2: Multikill Clip
  • Masterwork: Range

For our barrel, we will go with Chambered Compensator as we will want to keep recoil down and increase our stability as we want to continuously activate our Killing Wind perk via consecutive kills. For our magazine, we will choose Accurized Rounds to boost our range with the weapon to land those hand cannon headshots from a safe distance. In column 3, our first perk will be Killing Wind. Killing an enemy will boost our handling, range, and mobility to keep on crowd-clearing. In column 4, we will choose Multikill Clip so that after we clear out a good number of enemies and when it comes time to reload, we will be ready to apply maximum damage.

While certain Strand perk mainstays, such as Hatchling, are unavailable on Kept Confidence, an additional selling point of this weapon in PvE is that this is the only Strand 140 RPM Adaptive Frame hand cannon available in Destiny 2 as of writing. With the additional 20% buff to damage against red bar enemies and ample 75% to orange bar enemies, Kept Confidence is packing a hell of a punch.

Kept Confidence PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Perk 1: Killing Wind
  • Perk 2: Eye of the Storm
  • Masterwork: Range

The general consensus is that this weapon really shines in Crucible. Headlined by a powerful combination of Killing Wind and Eye of the Storm, this is the god roll you want to find. In column one, we will go with Arrowhead Brake for our barrel to control recoil and improve our handling in those tight duels in the Crucible. For our magazine, we will again go with Accurized Rounds to boost our effective range to ensure we have the first move on opposing guardians.

For column 3, our first perk will be Killing Wind. This will allow us to maintain momentum after defeating an opponent and setting our sights on the next target. For our final perk, we will choose Eye of the Storm. As a risky Crucible duel carries on, and our health becomes reduced, our damage output will increase, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. As for our Masterwork, we will want to go with Range to boost our effective range even further.

Kept Confidence: Is it worth farming?

Kept Confidence is one of the best Legendary Hand Cannons this season. Couple Killing Wind and Eye of the Storm with the new origin trait Head Rush, and you are going to find this weapon to be highly effective in your showdowns in the Crucible and Trials of Osiris.

If you have not already, assist Eris in indulging in Hive taboo this season and get your hands on this new weapon. It feels good to have a trusty hand cannon back in our hands, and Kept Confidence is at the top of the pack.
