Garden of Salvation loot changes

With Update 8.1.0, released on October 8, 2024, the Garden of Salvation loot pool was significantly updated:

The Garden of Salvation weapons are now craftable.

Each week, players can acquire a pursuit from Hawthorne in the Tower asking them to complete all encounters of the Garden of Salvation raid. Completion will award guaranteed pattern progress until all patterns are acquired and unlock a vendor exchange on Hawthorne for one additional selectable Deepsight weapon.

Garden of Salvation Raid Exotic

Garden of Salvation features an exclusive Exotic weapon, the Divinity Exotic Trace rifle. However, unlike most other raids where Exotics can drop when clearing the raid, Divinity is part of a lengthy quest that culminates in the Garden of Salvation raid. 

Divinity

Divinity is an Arc Exotic trace rifle that features the following Exotic perks:

• Judgment: Sustained damage with this weapon envelops the target in a field that weakens and stuns them. Strong against [Disruption] Overload Champions.
• Penance: Targets under the effects of Judgment long enough are struck with a burst of damage.

Is Garden of Salvation farmable?

Whenever Garden of Salvation is the featured raid of the week, it can be farmed for unlimited loot, including its Exotic. All you’ll need is a committed Fireteam and a couple of hours ahead of you.

This is how you can farm raids in Destiny 2, including Garden of Salvation:

1. Go through the raid on your first character until you reach the encounter you want to farm.
2. Start the encounter and wipe (i.e., die without beating it).
3. Ask your Fireteam to wait. Change characters and log into a character that hasn’t run the raid that week.
4. On that second character, join your Fireteam again.
5. Wipe again. Now, your second character has the proper checkpoint.

And that’s it. You’ll then be able to farm that encounter ad nauseam until reset! To continue farming, you’ll need to:

1. Launch the raid using your second character (the one that is holding the checkpoint).
2. Change characters and rejoin your Fireteam on your first character.
3. Complete the encounter for loot.
4. Exit the raid, switch characters again, and repeat Step 1.
