Reckless Oracle, like the other Garden of Salvation weapons, received a massive perk refresh with the start of Episode: Revenant. While not as popular as its brethren, it still boasts a large magazine and a perk pool that can take full advantage of that. This guide will cover everything you need to know about this Rapid-Fire Auto Rifle.

How good is Reckless Oracle
Rapid-Fire Autos aren’t particularly favored due to their lower than average damage output. However, that doesn’t stop them from being fun as can be thanks to their extremely large mag sizes. Reckless has a base 50 mag, and with Extended and Backup Mag, you’re looking at a whopping 70 in one mag! Pair that with perks like Subsistence and it’s going to be a while til you hit that reload key. On top of that, it’s got a good selection of damage perks that will help it compete with other, slower firing options.
In PvP, it’s not the most meta, but the perk selection lets it stand on its own and even catch some off guard thanks to perks like Keep Away and Dynamic Sway Reduction. Main drawback is the poor Recoil Direction at 59, which means very sporadic with a heavy right-hand sway, though the right barrel can help mitigate that quite a bit.

Reckless Oracle PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Arrowhead Break |
Magazine | Extended Mag |
Perk 1 | Destabilizing Rounds or Demolitionist |
Perk 2 | Paracausal Affinity or Repulsor Brace |
Masterwork | Reload Speed |
As Reckless Oracle’s base recoil is rather jumpy, we’re going to throw Arrowhead Break on here to tighten it up while also providing a decent handling buff. Extended Mag is going to be best here, as Rapid-Fire Frames get a .8x reload speed multiplier on an empty mag. What this means is that firing to empty, along with a Reload Speed MW, means a 1.4 second reload time!
For Perk 1, there are a lot of good options, but Destabilizing Rounds or Demolitionist are the top picks. Subsistence can turn this thing into an almost bottomless mag, but the free damage from volatile detonations just can’t be beat, and Demo is just free reloads. Perk 2 is also stacked, but Paracausal Affinity or Repulsor Brace are the go-to’s. Repulsor pairs nicely with Destabilizing, and Paracausal is an easy to maintain 20% damage buff. One for All gets an honorable mention due to the raw power it holds.
Reckless Oracle PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Arrowhead Break |
Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Perk 1 | Keep Away or Tap the Trigger |
Perk 2 | Dynamic Sway Reduction |
Masterwork | Range |
Same with the PvE roll, Arrowhead Break is best to keep shots on target, as when paired with Counterbalance Stock, gives it a perfect 100 recoil direction! Ricochet Rounds is obviously the best choice with its range and stability bonuses.
For Perk 1, Keep Away or Tap the Trigger are perfect picks. Both offer hefty stat increases through different sources, but nonetheless provide excellent advantages when they are active. Killing Wind is a close third thanks to the range buff it provides. Perk 2 is going to be Dynamic Sway Reduction. While there are some good damage perks, being able to maintain your spread throughout the gunfight is far more useful than a damage perk that may or may not be up when you need it. DSR will always be there for you.

Secondly, it can drop upon completion of the “Deepsight Signal” quest from Hawthorne, this time as a guaranteed Deepsight version. And finally, it can be purchased from her, though only one total weapon a week, so choose wisely! We cover the entire Garden of Salvation Loot Table here.
