Destiny 2 Ancient Gospel: God Rolls & How to get it

How good is Ancient Gospel

Ancient Gospel is one of only five Void 140 RPM Hand Cannons in Destiny 2 and the only one that is craftable. It carries strong perks for PvE and PvP making it a great option to take on Destiny 2’s toughest challenges.

Ancient Gospel packs a strong punch and works excellently in Void-focused builds or in combination with Prismatic. Holding strong base stats, the first two perks should focus on Reload Speed and Handling to keep Ancient Gospel feeling snappy and it can be quickly refilled to get Guardians back in the fight.

Its main perks are great damage dealers and help chain kills quickly to work hand in hand to keep Ancient Gospel working at its maximum potential. Rampage scales up to a 33% damage increase and Explosive Payload helps keep it rolling due to it causing extra damage on hits taking out targets faster and its area of effect damage can take out surrounding enemies too which all count towards keeping Rampage rolling.

Ancient Gospel has all the best tools to be a real difference-maker in PvP carrying some of the most desirable perks for a 140 RPM Hand Cannon. Like most PvP-focused Hand Cannons, pushing Range to its absolute limit is a must and we can do that with the combination of Hammer-Forged Rifling and Accurized Rounds for an immediate +20 to its respective stat. This allows Ancient Gospel to be more potent when dueling enemies at longer sight lines or landing some good shots from a safe distance.

Round off with Rapid Hit and Kill Clip which combines to great effect. When Rapid Hit reaches full potential, the Reload Speed hits 100 meaning Kill Clip can be up and running as fast as possible. The 25% damage increase can then easily tear through follow-up targets making this weapon a menace in The Crucible when in accurate hands.

How to get Ancient Gospel
