Destiny 2 Solstice Weapons: Ranked
This Tier list includes every Solstice weapon available today:
| Item | Weapon | Type | Archetype | Ammo? | Element? | Requirements | Rank | Source | Tier Rank | Source ❘ DLC | Verdict | Released | Perks | Best of? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Festival Flight | ![]() Festival Flight Grenade Launcher | Grenade Launcher | Area Denial | Special | Strand | Free-to-Play | S › Best | Event: Solstice | ❘ S Excels in: PvE | Event: Solstice Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Demolitionist or Blast Distributor (also good: Slice) + Elemental Honing or One-For-All (also good: Attrition Orbs) ► Our very first Strand area denial frame does not disappoint. Festival Flight rolls with all the greatest perks, so much so its hard to pin down a true god roll! | The Edge of Fate | Slot: PvE God Roll: Demolitionist or Blast Distributor (also good: Slice) + Elemental Honing or One-For-All (also good: Attrition Orbs) | Top-tier |
| Yeartide Apex | ![]() Yeartide Apex Submachine Gun | Submachine Gun | Lightweight | Primary | Solar | Free-to-Play | S › Best | Event: Solstice | ❘ S Excels in: PvE | Event: Solstice Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Heal Clip (also good: Demolitionist or Attrition Orbs) + Incandescent or Chaos Reshaped (also good: Burning Ambition) ► Yeartide Apex is a gun that will delight all kinds of players. Coming with a good variety of perks, it is sure to enter the inventories of PvE and PvP players alike. | The Edge of Fate | Slot: PvE God Roll: Heal Clip (also good: Demolitionist or Attrition Orbs) + Incandescent or Chaos Reshaped (also good: Burning Ambition) | Top-tier |
| Crowning Duologue | ![]() Crowning Duologue Rocket Launcher | Rocket Launcher | Precision | Heavy | Strand | Free-to-Play | A › Strong | Event: Solstice | ❘ A Excels in: PvE + PvP | Event: Solstice Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster (also good: Field Prep) + Hatchling (also good: Adrenaline Junkie) ► Crowning Duologue has had a serious glow-up since its last iteration. Now, with top-tier perks like Reconstruction and Bait and Switch, It is much better than it once was. However, despite this drastic upgrade, it doesn’t quite reach the top dogs like Apex Predator due to its weaker archetype. | Season 21 | Slot: PvE God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster (also good: Field Prep) + Hatchling (also good: Adrenaline Junkie) | Top-tier |
| Fortunate Star | ![]() Fortunate Star Combat Bow | Combat Bow | Lightweight | Primary | Void | Free-to-Play | A › Strong | Event: Solstice | ❘ A Excels in: PvE | Event: Solstice Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Repulsor Brace or Dragonfly + Destabilizing Rounds or Demoralize ► Fortunate Star has some tricks up its sleeve that help it in the current meta (which disfavors bows). Subclass-specific perks are always a win, and when the combo of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds is present, it boosts the weapon's viability massively. | The Edge of Fate | Slot: PvE God Roll: Repulsor Brace or Dragonfly + Destabilizing Rounds or Demoralize | Top-tier |
| Compass Rose | ![]() Compass Rose Shotgun | Shotgun | Precision | Special | Solar | Free-to-Play | A › Strong | Event: Solstice | ❘ A Excels in: PvP | Event: Solstice Free-to-Play | Slot: PvP God Roll: Slickdraw (also good: Threat Detector) + Opening Shot (also good: Snapshot Sights) ► Perhaps not getting the credit it truly deserves, Compass Rose is a potent, yet underused PvP option. It comes with Slickdraw, giving a constant 100 Handling, as well as Opening Shot, a staple of PvP Shotguns. While there may be better options out there, Compass Rose is no slouch. | Season 14 | Slot: PvP God Roll: Slickdraw (also good: Threat Detector) + Opening Shot (also good: Snapshot Sights) | Top-tier |
| Something New | ![]() Something New Hand Cannon | Hand Cannon | Aggressive | Primary | Stasis | Free-to-Play | C › Weak | Event: Solstice | ❘ C | Event: Solstice Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Feeding Frenzy (also good: Stats for All) + Headstone (also good: Multikill Clip) ► With a weak archetype, poor stats, and an uninspiring perk selection, this is a weapon you can safely ignore... | Season 17 | Slot: PvE God Roll: Feeding Frenzy (also good: Stats for All) + Headstone (also good: Multikill Clip) |
These are the different Tier levels used for our list:
