How good is Fortunate Star
Bows are typically not favoured among the community as they are slow to ad-clear and don’t deal enough damage to warrant use for clearing out beefier orange and yellow bar enemies. However, Fortunate Star does have some tricks up its sleeve that help it. Subclass-specific perks are always a win, and when the combo of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds is present, it boosts the weapon’s viability massively. On top of this, Fortunate Star has the added benefit of having Dragonfly available alongside Destabilizing Rounds, making it a pretty decent add-clear option.
In PvP, Bows aren’t too popular, and Fortunate Star doesn’t do too much to break that trend. Archer’s Tempo is the only viable perk in the first column for PvP, and in perk slot 2, it doesn’t get any better. Overall, Fortunate Star suffers from being a bow in a weak archetype, but it does have some fun and exciting perks which help it out just a little bit. Fortunate Star is A-Tier in PvE and C-Tier in PvP

Fortunate Star PvE god rolls
| PvE Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Bowstring | Agile Bowstring |
| Arrow | Compact Arrow Shaft |
| Perk 1 | Repulsor Brace or Dragonfly |
| Perk 2 | Destabilizing Rounds or Demoralize |
| Masterwork | Draw Time |
| Origin Trait | Veist Stinger |
With a combination of Agile Bowstring, Compact Arrow Shaft, and a Draw Time Masterwork, we can boost Fortunate Star to a good amount of Handling while also helping the Draw Time a little bit.
In perk slot 1, we like Repulsor Brace and Dragonfly. Repulsor Brace can serve as a more defensive option, while Dragonfly is more aggressive. Both options are excellent, and you can choose depending on your playstyle.
In perk slot 2, Destabilizing Rounds and Demoralize are our picks. Both of these perks fill a similar role, that being AoE effects. Destabilizing Rounds does it slightly better in terms of simply killing enemies, but Demoralize is great as a utility tool to weaken large groups.
Fortunate Star PvP god rolls
Considered C-Tier here, Fortunate Star is absolutely not worth chasing for PvP…
