Destiny 2 Non-Denouement: God Rolls & How to get it

by | Jun 11, 2024

Salvation’s Edge has been released and cleared, meaning it’s once again time to get your hands on some unique and powerful loot. Luckily, this raid doesn’t disappoint on that front—each weapon has a handful of outstanding rolls, and the raid-specific perk is not to be disregarded.

Today, we’ll take a look at a weapon that’s gaining tons of popularity for one perk combination that’s never been seen before on a bow: Non-Denouement.

Chapters

How good is Non-Denouement

While bows continue to struggle to find their spot in the meta, Non-Denouement is a refreshing change of pace that will likely attract many players to the weapon type.

Non-Denouement receives most of its attention in PvE, primarily due to Voltshot in the final column. This is the first bow to ever roll with the perk, and it functions identically to how you’d expect. Voltshot is so good, in fact, that people are comparing this bow to Trinity Ghoul (known as one of the best ad clear primary weapons the game has ever seen).

In The Crucible, Non-Denouement likely won’t see as much use. While it does have some rolls that stand out in PvP, it doesn’t seem to do anything that its competitors can’t.

Because of this, Non-Denouement is S-Tier in PvE and A-Tier in PvP.

PvE Roll: All-Around
Bowstring Polymer String
Arrow Straight Fletching
Perk 1 Archer’s Tempo or Dragonfly
Perk 2 Voltshot (also good: Chaos Reshaped)
Masterwork Draw Time

While everything surrounding your two main perks doesn’t really matter here, we’ll focus on increasing accuracy and draw time with Polymer String, Straight Fletching, and a draw time masterwork.

As we mentioned earlier, most of the hype surrounding Non-Denouement has come from its similarities to fan-favorite Trinity Ghoul. With this in mind, many players are seeking a roll with Dragonfly and Voltshot. While that is sure to meet their demands, there are definitely other viable options in both columns.

In column one, we generally prefer Archer’s Tempo over Dragonfly as its bonus is much more viable in a greater variety of content. As for column two, while Voltshot is extremely unique, Chaos Reshaped can’t be overlooked. Granting up to a 35% damage bonus and consistent healing for simply being in combat, this perk is one of the best the game has ever seen.

Non-Denouement PvP god rolls

PvP Roll: All-Around
Bowstring High Tension String
Arrow Straight Fletching
Perk 1 Opening Shot
Perk 2 Archer’s Gambit
Masterwork Draw Time or Accuracy

We’ll begin with High Tension String and Straight Fletching to increase accuracy, then a draw time masterwork (which can be replaced with accuracy if desired) to make up for the negative effects of High Tension String.

Opening Shot is the king of column one, making your first shot of every engagement significantly more accurate. In column two, Archer’s Gambit offers rapid-fire potential that can’t be beat, greatly assisting in the weapon’s dueling potential.

How to get Non-Denouement

Non-Denouement is one of six legendary weapons that can drop from the Salvation’s Edge raid. In specific, Non-Denouement can drop from the first, second, and fourth encounters, in addition to the two secret chests and end-of-raid vendor (assuming you’ve unlocked the bow in Collections). We cover the entire Salvation Edge’s loot table here.
