2025 Solstice Schedule
Solstice 2025 starts August 5, 2025, and will be available to all players for free for two weeks:
- Solstice starts on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10 AM PDT

Solstice Rewards in The Edge of Shape
While most Guardians will jump into Solstice to grab its exclusive armor sets, the Solstice-themed weapons are another perfect excuse to join in the fun. We cover all the exclusive Solstice weapons and Solstice Armor sets here. It is worth mentioning that The Edge of Shape will introduce two new weapons (plus the re-release of Fortunate Star with revised perks):
You can purchase these weapons directly from the Reward Shop, up to a Tier 4, depending on your Guardian Rank, as well as up to Tier 4 engrams.
Event Home rewards
During the Solstice event, you can also earn rewards through challenges in the Event Home, such as a Solstice-themed emblem, a Ghost shell, and even Holofoil weapons.
How to enter the Solstice 2025 event
Solstice is changing a lot with The Edge of Fate. As explained by Bungie, the goal of the event is to use the Solstice Forge to create a full set of armor, and then to make it glow. This will be a great opportunity to grab armor with the new stats and armor set bonuses.
The biggest change, however, is the removal of the Bonfire Bash activity from last year and the addition of a plethora of modifiers to Portal activities. The modifiers, inspired by Solar energy, will be heavily inspired by older Artifact perks. There will be several, but Bungie already revealed these four:
- Hot Potato: Carriable Solar Flares occasionally drop from defeated combatants. Passing it between players increases the amount of damage it will do.
- Fired Up: Dealing damage and final blows from Solar sources raises a heat meter Once full, your weapons will cause Solar explosions.
- Class Healing: Heal yourself when using your class ability.
- Igniter: Precision hits against scorched combatants cause ignitions.
Another addition coming with this Solstice is the new Solstice Scorched Crucible Playlist, featuring the Scorch Cannon.
