New Festival of the Lost Weapons in 2025
The Edge of Shape DLC introduced two new weapons (plus the re-release of Arcane Embrace with revised perks)
If recent events are any indication, do not expect the rest of the Festival of the Lost weapons to make a return. If we take Solstice, for example, not only were older weapons not updated with new tiers, but they didn’t drop at all. Older FotL weapons include:
How to farm Festival of the Lost weapons
You can earn these weapons from Eerie Engrams, which drop from the two event-specific activities, with up to two daily Eerie Engrams also dropping from other Portal activities. You can also buy them with candy, earn them as part of the Event Home’s Rank rewards, or buy them at the Event Shop. We cover how to get Candy fast here.
And best of all, Festival of the Lost Weapons will drop with a higher Tier than your current level, just like during Solstice.
Festival of the Lost Weapons: Ranked
This Tier list includes every FotL weapon:
| Item | Weapon | Type | Archetype | Ammo? | Element? | Requirements | Rank | Source | Tier Rank | Source ❘ DLC | Verdict | Released | Best of? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mechabre | ![]() Mechabre Sniper Rifle | Sniper Rifle | Aggressive | Special | Arc | Free-to-Play | S › Best | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ S Excels in: PvP | Event: Festival of the Lost Free-to-Play | Slot: PvP God Roll: Snapshot Sights + Moving Target (also good: Opening Shot) ► Immediately grabbing the community's attention with its solid perks and stats, Mechabre is the rare case of an event weapon that's worth the grind. Being 72 RPM also means Beloved and Mercurial Overreach can't directly replace it, so farming it next time Festival of the Lost is around isn't a bad idea. | Episode 2 | Top-tier |
| Horror Story | ![]() Horror Story Auto Rifle | Auto Rifle | Precision | Primary | Stasis | Free-to-Play | A › Strong | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ A Excels in: PvE + PvP | Event: Festival of the Lost Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Demolitionist + Headstone PvP God Roll: Dynamic Sway Reduction + Target Lock ► Horror Story has become a solid option in both PvE and PvP due to changes in its perk pool and buffs to its archetype. In PvE, you will find great synergy with stasis builds while in PvP you will find great stability and damage in duels. | Episode 2 | Top-tier |
| Gunburn | ![]() Gunburn Submachine Gun | Submachine Gun | Lightweight | Primary | Kinetic | The Edge of Fate | A › Strong | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ A Excels in: PvE + PvP | Event: Festival of the Lost The Edge of Fate | Slot: PvE God Roll: Lead from Light (also good: Bewildering Burst) + Attrition Orbs (also good: One for All, Kinetic Tremors) PvP God Roll: Lone Wolf + Target Lock ► Gunburn is a solid addition to the Festival of the Lost weapon lineup. Just missing out on the S-Tier for PvE due to perk placements, there’s plenty to get out of this weapon in both PvE and PvP when chasing this god roll during this year's spooky season event. | Ash & Iron | Top-tier |
| Jurassic Green | ![]() Jurassic Green Pulse Rifle | Pulse Rifle | Rapid-Fire | Primary | Solar | Free-to-Play | A › Strong | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ A Excels in: PvP | Event: Festival of the Lost Free-to-Play | Slot: PvP God Roll: Keep Away (also good: Perpetual Motion) + Headseeker ► With a refreshed perk pool, Jurassic Green is easily an A-tier rapid fire for PvP. Boasting the same range and PvP god roll as Oversoul Edict, this is a pulse worth grinding for. | Episode 2 | Top-tier |
| Hushed Whisper | ![]() Hushed Whisper Combat Bow | Combat Bow | Precision | Primary | Strand | The Edge of Fate | A › Strong | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ A Excels in: PvP | Event: Festival of the Lost The Edge of Fate | Slot: PvP God Roll: Lone Wolf + Archer’s Gambit ► Hushed Whisper is an interesting Strand option that provides Tear on a bow for PvE, while also being a potential all-star in PvP due to its low TTK. | Ash & Iron | Top-tier |
| Braytech Werewolf | ![]() Braytech Werewolf Auto Rifle | Auto Rifle | Precision | Primary | Kinetic | Free-to-Play | B › Average | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ B Excels in: PvE + PvP | Event: Festival of the Lost Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Rewind Rounds + Kinetic Tremors (also good: Onslaught) PvP God Roll: Dynamic Sway Reduction (also good: Lone Wolf) + Kill Clip (also good: Tap the Trigger) ► Braytech Werewolf is one of many seasonal event weapons that is simply average. While it offers a solid variety of perks that can get you through a variety of the game's activities, you're much better off farming for something higher ranked on this list. | Episode 2 | |
| Arcane Embrace | ![]() Arcane Embrace Shotgun | Shotgun | Heavy Burst | Special | Arc | Free-to-Play | B › Average | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ B Excels in: PvE | Event: Festival of the Lost Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Fourth Time's The Charm + Precision Instrument or Aggregate Charge ► Arcane Embrace isn't something to immediately write off. While it isn't going to be your main DPS weapon, it can comfortably serve as a backup. It would rank higher, but for now, options like Mint Retrograde outclass it in total damage. | Ash & Iron | |
| Acosmic | ![]() Acosmic Grenade Launcher | Grenade Launcher | Rapid-Fire | Heavy | Void | Free-to-Play | C › Weak | Event: Festival of the Lost | ❘ C | Event: Festival of the Lost Free-to-Play | Slot: PvE God Roll: Clown Cartridge + Explosive Payload ► With a weak archetype, poor stats, and an uninspiring perk selection, this is a weapon you can safely ignore... | Episode 2 |
