Destiny 2 Jurassic Green: God Rolls & How to get it

by | Oct 29, 2024

Destiny 2’s Halloween-themed seasonal event, Festival of the Lost, is finally here, and with it comes a bunch of weapons that are always a treat to use. Jurassic Green is one of those weapons this year. We will tell you how to obtain it, how good it is, and the god rolls on the weapon.

How good is Jurassic Green

Jurassic Green is a Solar 540RPM Rapid Fire Pulse Rifle. Only two other weapons fall into this category: Darkest Before and Outlast. Outlast focuses more on PvP, while Darkest Before was generally popularised for its Heal Clip + Incandescent roll. However, Jurassic Green seems to have a bit of both, with some popular PvP perks like Closing Time, Headseeker, Kill Clip, and Keep Away, but also some standard PvE options like Frenzy, Incandescent, and Heal Clip.

Rapid Fire Frame Pulses are decent right now. While they may not be as popular as other Pulse Rifle types, such as two bursts like Nullify or 390s like the new Vantage Point, they are still viable with the right roll in both PvE and PvP.

Overall, Jurassic Green is a powerful option, but it simply isn’t enough to crack the top contenders, landing it in the A Tier in both PvE and PvP.

Jurassic Green PvE god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel Fluted Barrel
Magazine Flared Magwell
Perk 1 Heal Clip (also good: Loose Change)
Perk 2 Incandescent (also good: Frenzy)
Masterwork Reload Speed
Origin Trait Field-Tested

Handling and Reload Speed are always excellent to have on weapons in PvE, so Fluted Barrel and Flared Magwell are the best picks for our barrel and magazine. Field Tested also helps with this, as it continuously grants stat bonuses the more you land hits or kills with the weapon.

Heal Clip stands out in the first perk column, thanks to its excellent survivability properties; however, Loose Change is a suitable alternative when paired with Incandescent, as Scorch is an elemental debuff.
In perk column 2, Incandescent is the perk that jumps out to us, but Frenzy is always safe to use. However, don’t combine Loose Change with Frenzy, as you won’t take advantage of the reload speed bonus that Loose Change provides because Frenzy is already providing it.

Jurassic Green PvP god rolls

PvP Roll: All-Around
Barrel Fluted Barrel or Corkscrew Rifling
Magazine Accurised Rounds or Steady Rounds
Perk 1 Keep Away or Closing Time
Perk 2 Headseeker or Under Pressure
Masterwork Stability or Range
Origin Trait Search Party

Jurassic Green has rather low base Handling and Stability, so Fluted Barrel is always a fair choice. However, some might want to boost the Range a tad, so Corkscrew Rifling works too. Accurised Rounds are always a must for the solid bump to Range; however, you can go for Steady Rounds instead and completely lean into Stability.

Keep Away is the clear option in perk slot one. However, Closing Time has been found to be quite a strong option too. Keep Away also synergizes nicely with the Search Party Origin Trait, which grants some ADS-related benefits when active.
Headseeker is the best option for perk slot two as it helps with the general consistency of the weapon, but Under Pressure can be a good perk, too, especially when you are going from one target to the next.

How to get Jurassic Green

Jurassic Green is an exclusive weapon for the Festival of the Lost, meaning you must do Festival of the Lost-themed activities to obtain it. Exchanging Candy, completing Haunted Lost Sectors, and any other questlines will help you get this gun.

On top of that, you will now have the opportunity to obtain ‘Eerie Engrams,’ a new system coming with this year’s rendition of Festive of the Lost. These engrams can be decrypted directly at Rahool, or you can focus them at Eva Levante to get a randomized weapon for 500 Candy or 1000 Candy for a specific weapon, including, Jurassic Green. We cover all Festival of the Lost Weapons here.
