How good is the The Spiteful Fang

The Spiteful Fang flies right back in as arguably the best Lightweight Combat Bow on Destiny 2 and as we in Destiny’s ‘Final Shape’ it’s likely staying there and becomes the must-have Combat Bow in Monument of Triumph.

For the PvE side it has all the perks required to focus on Stasis for builds while causing damaging explosions with Firefly or Explosive Head. A number of excellent combinations to take into all difficulty levels which makes it so desirable. The Lightweight Frame also feels great to use for mobility around any map. 

It also does a solid job in PvP. Draw Time reducing perks paired with damage dealers mean when it comes together, The Spiteful Fang can be a menace at almost any range in the Crucible. The Spiteful Fang is S-Tier for PvE and B-Tier for PvP.

The Spiteful Fang god roll is a must-have weapon to chase down for how effective it is across all levels of content.

Elastic String and Compact Arrow Shaft start this Combat Bow off with boosts to essential stats in Draw Time, Handling, and Reload. Ensuring arrows are primed quickly for launch and Reload to get the next bolt in place fast to keep up the barrage.

Round off with the powerful combination of Headstone and Firefly, Working together, headshot kills will cause an explosion and a massive boost to Reload. Headstone works perfectly here as it will spawn Stasis crystals for a headshot kill. This will shatter the crystal causing additional damage to surrounding enemies and can even add extra bonuses if leaned inot with a Stasis focused build.

Rimestealer and Crystalline Corpsebloom is also a strong roll to have in the bag and directly hits those Stasis notes.

A great all rounder and it carries that from PvE to PvP. Combat Bows can be a bit of an outsider but when used within their niche, can be incredibly effective.

Start with High Tension String and Straight Fletchling for +25 boost to Accuracy straight off the bat. This is what helps guaratee that the arrows will be hitting exactly where they are launched and thats going to be mainly enemy Guardian heads.

Archer’s Tempo remans one of the best Bow perks and it helps here by decreasing Draw Time by 25 percent on precision hit. This helps get the next bolt ready to go before you opponent can even react to the first hit. Golden Tricorn then rounds off with a much needed damage boost and with how effectiive.

How to get the The Spiteful Fang

The Spiteful Fang, as well as all the other returning Black Armory weapons, can drop from participating in the Arena Ops playlist. You can also attune to it to increase your chances of obtaining it when farming the playlist.
