With the launch of Episode 3: Heresy, Bungie have reprised the Vault of Glass weapons with new perks, a new Origin Trait, and the ability to craft and enhance some of the most nostalgic weapons in the game. This article will cover how to get the Found Verdict shotgun, and the god rolls available.

How good is Found Verdict?

Found Verdict has always been a strong contender in terms of PvP. While not as sought after as Precision Frames due to the lower handling, Aggressive Frames pack a hefty punch and have a very reliable one-shot kill, while also having a slight range advantage.

In terms of PvE, shotguns have always been in a strange position. When paired with the right builds, it can be used for some very high damage output, however on their own, they struggle in higher difficulty content. Found Verdict is B-Tier for PvE and A-Tier for PvP.

Found Verdict PvE god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel Barrel Shroud (also good: Corkscrew Rifling)
Magazine Assault Mag
Perk 1 Pugilist
Perk 2 One-Two Punch
Masterwork Handling

We Recommend Barrel Shroud due to the extra handling it gives to allow for the faster weapon swaps in PvE; however, Corkscrew Rifling is also a valid option as it provides slightly less Handling but also a slight Boost to Range. We also recommend Assault Mag due to the increased rate of fire, allowing for higher burst damage output.

Pugilist in Perk 1 is recommended as kills will help in reducing the downtime of your melee abilities. The hits from your melee also grant the weapon bonus Handling, making it feel smoother to use.

One-Two Punch is the recommended perk in Slot 1. This is because Aggressive Frame shotguns in PvE aren’t generally the best however, when paired with One-Two Punch and things like Strand Titan or Liar’s Handshake Hunter, they are capable of some of the highest damage output in the game.

Found Verdict PvP god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel Rifled Barrel (also good: Corkscrew Rifling)
Magazine Accurized Rounds
Perk 1 Slideshot
Perk 2 Handling
Masterwork Range

We recommend Rifled Barrel due to its extra range. Although it is only a slight increase from Corkscrew Rifling, that can be the difference in PvP between a one-shot kill and having to follow up with a melee.

Rifled Barrel is also only recommended when paired with a Handling exotic such as Ophidian Aspects or Dragons Shadow due to the reduction in handling. If you would rather use your exotic slot on something else, Corkscrew Rifling would be the recommended option.

Accurized Rounds is also recommended as when paired with enhanced versions of the recommended perks, the weapons reaches 91 total range. Slideshot and Opening Shot also synergise well due to both increasing Range, while Slideshot also grants Stability and Opening Shot granting aim assist, making it more likely to hit enough pellets to one shot kill.

How to get the Found Verdict

Found Verdict can be found in the Vault of Glass Raid, specifically from the Conflux, Oracles, and Gatekeeper encounters, or by using Spoils of Conquest at the end of the raid. If you want to acquire the Timelost variant, then that requires completing the ‘Master Glasser’ triumph. This involves completing each weekly challenge in Vault of Glass on Master difficulty. Completing the triumph will give you one initial drop and subsequent versions can be bought with Spoils after completing other runs on Master.

With the launch of Heresy, Found Verdict can also now be crafted at The Enclave after acquiring 5 Deepsight Patterns. These patterns can be acquired through either random drops from encounter completions, one guaranteed random Deepsight weapon upon the first raid completion per reset, and one guaranteed from completion of Hawthorne’s weekly quest. You can find the entire Vault of Glass Loot table here.

Says “Handling” in perk 2 instead of opening shot? Typo?
