Destiny 2 Conditional Finality: How to get this Raid Exotic

by | Feb 28, 2024

Conditional Finality is a Stasis Exotic shotgun that can only drop from Root of Nightmare’s final boss. This Shotgun is not only unique in that it can do both Stasis and Solar damage but it’s also considered one of the best Raid exotics to come out in a long time.

Today we cover how powerful this Exotic shotgun is and tell you exactly how to get it.

How to get the Conditional Finality Exotic

The Conditional Finality can only drop from the Root of Nightmare’s final boss. Taking into account that Root appears to be a relatively short and easy raid (World’s First cleared in under 3 hours), you shouldn’t have too much trouble farming it until you finally get your hands on the weapon.

You can find the entire Root of Nightmares loot table here.

Conditional Finality drop rate

Conditional Finality is estimated to have a base drop rate of around 5%, based on community-driven data. Note that actual drop rates are unknown, as Bungie has never shared that information.

Albeit drop rates for Raid and Dungeon exotics are abysmally low, completing Triumphs will increase raid exotic drop rates. In this case:

Triumph Rate Boost
Living Nightmares +1
Dream Weavers +1
Classic Horror +1
Challenges:

  • Illuminated Torment
  • Crossfire
  • Cosmic Equilibrium
  • All Hands
+1 each (+4 total)
Complications:

  • Psionic Surge
  • Shields Up
  • Singular Orbit
  • Synchronicity
+1 each (+4 total)Triumph

Can you farm Conditional Finality?

You can absolutely farm Conditional Finality, but only when the Root of Nightmares raid is the weekly featured raidThis is the case for all raid Exotics, except for the latest raid, which is not part of the weekly rotation.

By the way, whenever Root of Nightmares is the featured raid, you can farm all of its Legendary weapons and armor at will, too.

How good is the Conditional Finality Raid Exotic?

Conditional Finality features unique Exotic perks that set it apart:

  • Paracausal Pellets: Landing nearly all Stasis pellets will freeze targets; landing nearly all Solar pellets will ignite targets.
  • Split Decision: Dual Barrels split into Stasis and Solar damage.

Conditional Finality is remarkable. In PvE, it has Champion-stunning capabilities and excellent potential damage with a hot-swap setup, rivaling even Izanagi’s Burden. In PvP, it has great handling, a solid 1-hit kill range, and can take down supers with its Freeze-Ignite effect.

Because of its unique perks, combined with excellent base stats and insane versatility, Conditional Finality excels in both PvE and PvP. We consider it A-Tier for PvE and S-tier for PvP).
