A competitive entry when it comes to Linear Fusion Rifles in both PvE and PvP. Easily the best Arc version, with its great perk selection making it unique, as it has combinations other variants of the weapon type just can’t reach.

A solid entry for Linear Fusion Rifles, Willful Hamartia comes with interesting and effective combinations for both PvE and PvP.

For PvE, your initial focus can be pure damage, but this can be easily interchanged with a combination like Envious Assassin and Jolting Feedback for more ammo in the Magazine for more constant bursts after setting up, and an Arc-focused setup, which can complement powerful builds currently in-game. 

PvP is similar, offering some unique combinations that pair excellently in battle and will easily throw opponents off guard, as this type of weapon isn’t an obvious meta choice in the current sandbox. Kickstart alone makes this an interesting prospect for the Crucible. Willful Hamartia is B-Tier for PvE and B-Tier for PvP.

Build this god roll from Arrowhead Brake; it ensures a tighter recoil pattern during each burst, and the boost to Handling improves ‘ready up’ speed when cycling to equip. Accelerated Coils removes a small percentage of Impact but makes it up for it by ensuring bursts can be made much faster, which is essential in timed damage phases.

High-Impact Reserves then pairs with Precision Instrument for a solid damage combination. With half your Magazine remaining, perk one adds up to 25 percent more damage, and due to this weapon firing in bursts, Precision Instrument should already be hitting its max buff of 30 percent

Jolting Feedback is a fun alternative here due to the burst fire; it will have no problem applying Jolt from its blasts.
rd being amplified, making this an excellent Arc synergy weapon for any class.

Carrying some strong PvP perks, Willful Hamartia can do serious work in the Crucible.

Start with Arrowhead Brake to keep the Recoil pattern controlled, making it easier for shots and follow-ups to stay on target. Projection Fuse then adds Range, ensuring the weapon remains effective even down the longest lanes to pick off your enemies.

Tap the Trigger adds Stability and Accuracy to that initial trigger pull, which is essential to ensuring the burst is as accurate as possible when entering the engagement. Finishing off with Kickstart, sliding before entering an engagement grants increased damage and Charge Rate. When hitting the loop correctly, you’re giving your opponents little time to react before taking them down.
