How good is Lionfish-4fr

One of the best-in-slot Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2, the Lionfish-4fr is an exceptional tool when taking on all corners of PvE. Sporting a Rapid Frame, meaning it carries more ammo and a swifter reload, this weapon comes with everything required to be a top-tier utility weapon. 

Great for taking on tougher enemies or just clearing out a room, the Lionfish-4fr ticks all the boxes for a must-have weapon in one of the final iterations of the Destiny sandbox. There is variety here too, pure power when going for Elemental Honing or a more direct Stasis view with Rimestealer, which can complement a Stasis-focused build to great effect. 

Lionfish-4fr does not have a real PvP focus with its perk, so would not be recommended to take into the Crucible. Lionfish-4fr is S-Tier for PvE and D-Tier for PvP.

• Perk 2: Chill Clip, Reservoir Burst, Controlled Burst, Swashbuckler, Elemental Honing, Binary Orbit.
• Origin Trait: Problem Solver, Vanguard Determination, Veist Stinger.

Pick this up with Arrowhead Brake for its base increase to Recoil. A more vertical burst is essential for an effective Fusion Rifle and ensuring all bolts hit the target. Accelerated Coils comes in to improve Charge Time, allowing shots to be fired off quickly when in battle.

Reconstruction is the first main perk for how it naturally feeds ammo into the magazine, allowing it to overflow up to twice its base ammo capacity. Chill Clip is a top-tier perk to apply here, as the overflow from Reconstruction means it will apply more blasts of slow as it remains over 50% of the magazine for longer. Exceptional for taking on tankier enemies and bosses.

Elemental Honing is a great secondary option. At maximum stacks, Lionfish-4fr can carry a 35% damage buff, which can easily take chunks of health from your enemies with each blast.

With a weak archetype for PvP and no redeeming perks, this weapon is not worth chasing to take into the Crucible.

How to get Lionfish-4fr

Since the release of Monument of Triumph, it is unclear whether Lionfish-4fr has a permanent source to farm it. Having said that, you can currently pick it up as part of the weekly Vanguard Arms rewards from Zavala at the Tower.
