Destiny 2 IRONWOOD 03: God Rolls and How to get it

Exceptional for PvE and a solid PvP choice, this weapon is a must-have to enhance Void-focused builds or for general close-quarters combat fun while getting in your enemies’ face. A highlight weapon of the Monument of Triumph update for sure.

How good is IRONWOOD 03

Ironwood 03 may be the top-tier when it comes to Spreadshot Hand Cannons in PvE. Combining fan-favorite perks on a Void weapon of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds means this weapon will be a close-quarters combat menace for any enemy that falls into its crosshairs. Hard-hitting like its Spreadshot cousins, Guardians everywhere should be chasing this god roll. 

Featuring other strong perks such as Surrounded to increase damage or One-Two Punch for a melee-focused setup, there’s variety here also, which should be of interest to those hunting it. This weapon will fit easily into any Void-focused build, with some being exceptionally strong. 

In PvP, the Ironwood 03 can pick up some decent perk combinations to make it a great weapon to deal a good amount of damage in the opening of an engagement, utilize the damage boost from Master or Arms, or for a quick weapon switch to clean up. Ironwood 03 is S-Tier for PvE and B-Tier for PvP.

The IRONWOOD 03 is a Void Hand Cannon that can roll with the following perks:

Arguably the best Spreadshot Hand Cannon in Destiny 2 for its build opportunities, the ever-lethal perk combination makes this god roll a must-have.  

Barrel Shroud sets up with added Stability and Handling, so combine this with Flared Magwell to add a significant boost to Reload Speed and a bit of extra Stability on top. This keeps the weapon snappy and easy to keep on target between blasts. 

The main perk combination of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds ties this one together with the perks perfectly feeding each other to great effect. Each kill causes Void explosions that make enemies Volatile; defeating these then grants an Overshield to your Guardian. This makes you harder to kill and complements the Ironwood 03 perfectly as a close combat weapon. 

If you want more damage, Surrounded is a great replacement, granting a massive 40 percent damage increase while close to several or more foes.

Spreadshot Hand Cannons can be lethal in close quarters when it comes to PvP, and Ironwood 03 can be a great tool to achieve this. 

We start by enhancing its Range to its limit with Smoothbore and Accurized Rounds. This gives a solid +25 to the Range stat and, on the Range masterwork, a further +10. Range is one of the more important stats due to how effective Ironwood 03 is at close range, so keeping that effectiveness for longer engagements ensures the best outcomes in battle. We then add Killing Wind on there, which almost maxes out the stat on kill, but makes the follow-up shots to the next enemy even more potent. 

Round off with Master of Arms, which provides a damage bonus to Ironwood 03 after any weapon kill. Makes for a great weapon, ready to switch to in the heat of battle

How to get IRONWOOD 03

The IRONWOOD 03 can drop from participating in Distortions, with higher-tiered weapons awarded from public events. Distortions are enhanced Patrol zones in which enemies become distorted, making them tougher, more aggressive, and more dangerous. As explained by Bungie, Distortions offer unique rewards:

We’re making Distortions uniquely rewarding by providing a new weapon set players can earn in these new events and, to balance the increased challenge of Distorted enemies, you’ll see higher gear tiers awarded from playing public events.
