How good is Sarpedon-D
For PvE, Sarpedon-D is absolutely worth the chase for its interaction with its Arc perk set and access to damage-enhancing perks. Holding old and new perks, this combination sets it apart from the other Hand Cannons of the same archetype.
Not as strong in PvP as its counterparts, but the weapon itself is still a useful tool in the right hands and a solid alternative should the Trials Scatter Shot evade you. Sarpedon-D is A-Tier for PvE and B-Tier for PvP.

Sarpedon-D PvE god rolls
| PvE Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Barrel Shroud |
| Magazine | Appended Mag |
| Perk 1 | Trickle Charge (also good: Proximity Power) |
| Perk 2 | Rolling Storm (also good: One-Two Punch, Trench Barrel) |
| Masterwork | Handling |
Leaning into the Arc flavour gets the best out of Sarpedon-D, and this god roll shows how to get there.
Barrel Shroud comes in for the added Stability and Handling to keep this weapon feeling snappy in a battle and easy to stay on target with reduced recoil from Stability. Appended Mag adds extra bullets to the magazine and, using the main perk set, will help this weapon keep up a high amount of bullets.
What makes this god roll shine is the combination of Trickle Charge and Rolling Storm. These perks work in tandem to get the most out of the powerful Bolt Charge ability. Kills with Rolling Storm grant Bolt Charge. When discharging this with an ability or attack, this will then reload Sarpedon-D, creating a solid loop where kills will keep reloading the magazine and adding even more damage with the Bolt Charge effect.
Sarpedon-D PvP god rolls
| PvP Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Smoothbore |
| Magazine | Accurized Rounds |
| Perk 1 | To the Pain |
| Perk 2 | Desperate Measures |
| Masterwork | Range |
For PvP, Sarpedon-D does lack the edge of its counterparts, but it does still possess decent enough perks to do the job.
Start with the combination of Smoothbore and Accurized Rounds for the instant +25 to Range. This helps with aggressive play and closing the gap, for which this weapon was made for.
Finish off with To the Pain and Desperate Measures. To the Pain complements the ‘up close and personal’ nature of the weapon by improving it based on any damage taken in the battle with additional aim assist and Handling. Desperate Measures adds a damage boost based on this and other weapon take-downs, making it great for cleaning up or getting a powerful shot off in close combat.
