Reissued with the Renegades DLC, The Immortal is a
Strand Aggressive SMG that can be farmed by participating in Trials of Osiris. Thanks to the tiering system, The Immortal now has access to enhanced perks and mods that dial its lethality to an 11. This guide covers its place in the current Meta, top rolls for PvE and PvP, and how to farm it.

How good is The Immortal
Much has changed in the time since The Immortal first wreaked havoc upon the PvP sphere, so much so that SMGs are a rarity nowadays. They still have some of the fastest TTKs, but with the introduction of spread shot hand cannons and sidearms getting substantial buffs over the years, alongside the meta shifting to more mid-long range, it is difficult to justify their use. Still, The Immortal reigns supreme in its class, with very few contenders worthy of claiming its throne. If and when the meta shifts back to more mixed or close range, and spread shot HCs finally get a nerf, The Immortal will be right there waiting to remind everyone who’s king.
As for PvE, this weapon has far better perk choices than its previous iteration, and with Hatchling in column 3 instead of 4, you can pair it with a damage perk to really squeeze the most fun out of the gun. The Immortal is a-Tier for PvE and S-tier for PvP.

The Immortal PvE god roll
| PvE Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
| Magazine | Flared Magwell |
| Perk 1 | Attrition Orbs or Hatchling |
| Perk 2 | Target Lock or Demolitionist (also good: Master of Arms) |
| Masterwork | Reload Speed |
| Origin Trait | Field-Tested |
As is tradition, our PvE barrel and mag choices are none other than Fluted Barrel and Flared Magwell. These are usually solid options on most weapons, but on The Immortal, it helps out tremendously due to the very low base stability and reload speed.
Perk 1 offers us both Attrition Orbs and Hatchling, both equally powerful picks for different situations. Peacekeeper Titans will love Attrition Orbs for faster super regen, and Hatchling is a great ad clear pairing.
The Immortal PvP god roll
| PvP Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Smallbore |
| Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
| Perk 1 | Rangefinder or Dynamic Sway Reduction (also good: Threat Detector) |
| Perk 2 | Target Lock (also good: Kill Clip) |
| Masterwork | Range |
| Origin Trait | Roar of Battle |
We’re changing things ever so slightly from the previous god roll to swap Fullbore for Smallbore. The extra 7-8 range you get from fullbore vs smallbore is not worth the hit to stability, nor is that increase noticeable at all.
Perk 1 has three stellar PvP perks, all of which are tried and true for SMGs. Rangefinder now has its range increase function back, DSR will help keep your spray on target, and Threat Detector gives you better stats just by being in the fray. As for Perk 2, Target Lock did get un-nerfed on SMGs, so it’s back to being old self, and Kill Clip serves as a nice alternative to help chain kills more reliably.
