How to get Horror’s Least in 2023
Another victim of weapon sunsetting, Horror’s Least was impossible to acquire for nearly three years. But the wait is over, as it finally returned to us with solid perks, especially for PvP, as a Nightfall-exclusive reward.
Nightfall Weapon rotation this season
There are several Nightfall-exclusive weapons in total, but as of Season of the Seraph (S19), only six are currently on rotation, with only one dropping each week. This means you can only farm the Horror’s Least pulse rifle once every six weeks!

💠 This guide highlights the Nightfall weapons this season, as well as the schedule for the coming weeks.

Horror’s Least drops from the Scarlet Keep Nightfall
How good is the Horror’s Least today
As a Rapid-Fire pulse, Horror’s Least does come with a fairly lacking range stat. However, the Horror’s Least more than makes up for it thanks to its excellent performance. It does have some Arc competition in the way of Insidious, though, which is an excellent option. Personally, I would opt for Insidious inside of PvE, but Horror’s Least for PvP.
- A Tier – Strong: Very strong weapon types, but not on the same level as S Tier Choices.

Best Horror’s Least Rolls for PvE and PvP
Once you’ve identified the right week to farm, you’ll want to run as many Nightfalls (and at the higher difficulty possible) as possible to increase your chances of finding a god roll. Among the several strong possible rolls out there, these are our favorites, the combinations we consider god rolls.

A Horror’s Least roll, Destiny 2
Horror’s Least PvP god roll
In terms of rolls for PvP, you’ll want high Range and Stability, so the obvious choice is Smallbore. However, Corkscrew Rifling is good too. For your magazine, Accurised Rounds is the go-to in order to get that big boost to Range. Regarding perks, for slot one, you have plenty of options; however, Perpetual Motion and Heating Up are the stand-out picks. Zen Moment is also good if you are on a controller. For slot 2, Kill Clip is the best pick by a mile, but Frenzy can somewhat work as an alternative in niche situations.
- Barrel: Smallbore or Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Perk 1: Perpetual Motion or Heating Up
- Perk 2: Kill Clip
Horror’s Least PvE god roll
For PvE, you’ll want higher Range and Stability too, so again, Smallbore or Corkscrew Rifling and Accurized rounds are the best picks. Do bear in mind that barrels and magazines aren’t as necessary in PvE compared to PvP. For your perks, you’ll want Perpetual Motion and either Kill Clip, Frenzy, or Focused Fury.
- Barrel: Smallbore or Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Accurised Rounds
- Perk 1: Perpetual Motion
- Perk 2: Kill Clip, Frenzy, or Focused Fury
Horror’s Least Adept
If you’re courageous enough to tackle Nightfalls on Grandmaster difficulty, you could earn an Adept version of the Horror’s Least. On top of serving as bragging rights, Adept variants of weapons have more perks per column, give even more stats when Masterworked, and can accept unique Adept mods.
Be aware that Grandmaster Nightfalls are only available during the second half of the season.
