Destiny 2 Neomuna Weapons: Tier list & How to get them

by | Mar 1, 2023

On top of delivering a tremendous new destination and a banger campaign, Lightfall also features several brand-new weapons. Some of these definitely have the potential to become top-tier someday, and you should definitely farm them before they go.

This guide covers all the weapons from Neomuna, the game’s new destination, and tells you how to best farm them.

The best Neomuna weapons in Destiny 2

The list below includes every Neomuna weapon in the game (it’s still a little too early to rank them, but we’ll update this section as we land diverse rolls to play around with):

Destiny 2 Neomuna weapons farm: Where to find them

Unlike previous Expansions that were plagued with confusing currencies and gameplay loops, Lightfall delivered a more straightforward experience with fewer currencies and items to deal with. In a nutshell, there are mainly three methods to acquire Neomuna weapons:

  • Completing quests from the Lightfall campaign
  • Opening Secret chests on Neomuna
  • Increasing your Reputation towards Nimbus on Neomuna

⛔ Lightfall has been barely out, and I’m sure we’ll find more (and potentially more efficient) ways to farm Neomuna weapons. Stay tuned!

Reputation towards Nimbus

Perhaps the easiest (albeit grindiest) method to acquire Neomuna weapons is by increasing your Reputation towards Nimbus. Not only will you unlock specific pieces of weapons and armor throughout the different ranks, but increasing ranks will also reward you with Neomuna engrams that also contain weapons and armor from Neptune.

To gain Reputation as fast as possible, we suggest tackling the Lightfall campaign in Legendary difficulty while completing Neomuna bounties in parallel (those also reward reputation). Other things, such as opening chests, also reward Reputation.

Completing Campaign quests

Virtually every Lightfall campaign mission will reward you with a Neomuna weapon. You won’t see these drop from the final chests at the end of each mission (whether you’re playing on Normal or Legendary difficulty). However, once you go claim your next mission, you’ll be rewarded with a Neomuna weapon immediately. I received the Dimensional Hypothrochoid grenade launcher after completing the first quest.
