How good is DEADHORSE 04
Adaptive SMGs are some of the best in their class; rocking a quick rate of fire while still dishing out considerable damage, and Deadhorse 04 finally brings Stasis to the table.
While the PvE offerings are slightly underwhelming, in PvP, this will be a Peacekeeper Titan’s dream with Rangefinder and Target Lock in the pool. Deadhorse 04 is B-Tier for PvE and S-tier for PvP.

With overall solid base stats for its archetype, Fluted Barrel and Tactical Mag offer nice bonuses without any downsides and make pretty much every weapon they are on feel much better to use.
Perk 1 for this gun will either be Rimestealer or Enlightened Action. Rimestealer lets you build into Stasis synergy alongside Crystalline Corpsebloom, and Enlightened Action is a solid workhorse perk to boost stats. As for your main Perk 2 picks, Crystalline Corpsebloom or One for All will serve you well in the ad-clear department.

As with most PvP rolls, you’ll want to buff range and stability as much as possible to eke out that extra advantage, so Smallbore and Ricochet Rounds will be our barrel and mag picks.
Perk 1 has really no better options than Rangefinder or Lone Wolf. With Rangefinder now offering +10 range once more, it’s a solid pick for better damage drop-off, but Lone Wolf’s buffs to ADS speed and aim assist cannot be understated, especially for controller users. And what better perk to pair either of these with than Target Lock, our only Perk 2 pick. While it might not be as powerful as before, that doesn’t negate the fact it lowers your TTK just for staying on target.
How to get DEADHORSE 04
The DEADHORSE 04 can drop from participating in Distortions, with higher-tiered weapons awarded from public events. Distortions are enhanced Patrol zones in which enemies become distorted, making them tougher, more aggressive, and more dangerous. As explained by Bungie, Distortions offer unique rewards:
We’re making Distortions uniquely rewarding by providing a new weapon set players can earn in these new events and, to balance the increased challenge of Distorted enemies, you’ll see higher gear tiers awarded from playing public events.
