The Final Shape is upon us and has brought with it a slew of new weapons for guardians to hunt down. Join us for a deep dive into the new machine gun Pro Memoria as we cover the best possible rolls you’ll want to keep an eye out for when exploring Destiny 2’s new location The Pale Heart.

How good is Pro Memoria

Pro Memoria is sporting a brand new machine gun frame called Aggressive Frame. Aggressive Frame machine guns deal higher damage, with the caveat of increased recoil.

As with all destination weapons available in the Pale Heart, it comes packing the Dealer’s Choice origin trait which grants a small amount of Super energy for each kill, and, with multiple Pale Heart weapons equipped, you can increase the potency of this effect.

Being a Strand machine gun with Hatchling and Dragonfly in its perk pool, Pro Memoria makes a strong proposition for itself in the PvE space. In PvP, you may find its effectiveness more in line with other machine guns you’ve wielded before. We consider A tier for PvE and B tier for PvP.

The Pro Memoria machine gun can roll with the following perks:

Pro Memoria PvE god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel	Fluted Barrel
Magazine	Ricochet Rounds
Perk 1	Demolitionist
Perk 2	Frenzy
Masterwork	Stability

For our barrel, you will want Fluted Barrel to increase your stability and handling of the weapon. This will help make sure you can keep the kickback of the weapon under control as you unload the clip into your enemies. For our magazine, we’ll want to pick Ricochet Rounds to increase stability and control recoil even further, with a small boost to the range.

For our perks, we want Demolitionist and Frenzy in perk columns 1 and 2 respectively. Demolitionist will generate grenade ability energy upon kills with the weapon and kills with your grenade ability will reload the weapon from reserves. Frenzy will enable increased damage, handling, and reload speed after being in combat for an extended period of time.

Overall, the combination of Demolitionist and Frenzy makes this a particularly dangerous Machine Gun, great at both crowd control and dealing damage.

In PvP, Pro Memoria is less of a standout, but can still prove effective. For our barrel, we will want Hammer-Forged Rifling, and for our magazine, Ricochet Rounds. Hammer-Forged Rifling will significantly increase our effective range with the weapon, allowing you to get the jump on opponents from further away. Ricochet Rounds will also increase our range as well as stability, with the added benefit of being able to bounce our shots off of surfaces.

In perk column 1, we want Demolitionist to create grenade ability energy upon kills with the weapon. In column 2, we will pick Tap the Trigger. Upon pulling the trigger, you will instantly experience increased stability and accuracy, perfect for nailing those distant headshots on your opponents.

How to get Pro Memoria

Pro Memoria is one of many weapons that await you in the Pale Heart. As a destination weapon, it can be earned by:

• Completing Pale Heart objectives, such as quests or Public events
• Decoding Pale Heart engrams at your Ghost.
• Increasing reputation ranks with your Ghost
