How good is Watchful Eye
In PvE, Watchful Eye is excellent. With Overflow or Field Prep as options, you can access some passive but powerful ammo perks. To complement this, you can take advantage of many damage or utility perks in the second column, as literally every single perk in column 2 enhances your damage in one way or another, be it raw numbers, jolt, or bolt charge.
In PvP, Machine guns are very popular, and Watchful Eye is no exception. With good consistency perks and a solid damage perk, Watchful Eye can be your go-to in PvP. Watchful Eye is S-Tier for PvE and A-tier for PvP.

- Perk 1: Overflow, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Mulligan, Wellspring, Hip-Fire Grip, Field Prep, and Eddy Current.
- Perk 2: Jolting Feedback, Rolling Storm, Killing Tally, Elemental Honing, Surrounded, Target Lock, and Sword Logic.
- Origin Trait: Willing Vessel and Runneth Over.

Due to the fairly low Handling of this weapon, we recommend Fluted Barrel to give a good bump to Handling. High-Caliber Rounds is always amazing as it staggers enemies in PvE, making them more vulnerable. However, Ricochet Rounds is also a decent option.
For perk 1, we suggest Overflow or Field Prep. Both are very good options and you can’t go wrong with either. For perk slot 2, Jolting Feedback is our winner, but Killing Tally and Rolling Storm are also acceptable.

To maximise ease of use, we are looking to boost our Stability as much as possible, so Smallbore and Stability Masterwork are recommended. High-Caliber Rounds is generally a good pick as it increases flinch, but Ricochet Rounds provides more Stability, so both are viable.
For perk 1, we recommend Dynamic Sway Reduction simply because it makes the weapon more accurate. For perk 2, Sword Logic is ideal thanks to its 20% damage bonus on kill, which can grant you a 4-headshot kill on enemies with Tier 8 Resilience or lower.
How to get Watchful Eye
As all Heretical weapons from Episode 3, you can obtain the Watchful Eye as a reward from The Nether upon completion or from random chests in the area. Make sure to use the Wombo Detector Ghost mod to find chests as efficiently as possible. We cover all Heretical weapons here.
Additionally, you can focus the weapon at the Tome of Want for an additional cost by using Scriptures, making it worthwhile to gather materials to get your hands on a good roll of this weapon.
