These days, new weapon archetypes are a relatively frequent addition to Destiny 2’s sandbox. From rocket sidearms to area-denial grenade launchers, the vast majority of these land with unwaveringly positive feedback. Among these popular picks is the support frame auto rifle, the first legendary weapon frame with healing capabilities.
Today, we’ll cover the second addition to this up-and-coming frame: Adamantite.

How good is Adamantite
Like No Hesitation, Adamantite features the perfect combination of slaying and support potential, resulting in a winning combination in all areas of the game.
While Solar is typically favored over Strand in PvE, Adamantite embraces its elemental affinity, intrinsically providing Unraveling projectiles while healing allies. This, along with added utility through perks like Slice, makes for a weapon that easily competes with No Hesitation.
Adamantite also holds its own in The Crucible, where its extra layer of support utility can easily catch opponents off guard. More experienced Guardians are sure to have a preference toward more intrinsically powerful options, but Adamantite is a great choice for those wanting a more unique pick. Adamantite is S-Tier for PvE and B-tier for PvP.

Adamantite Perks & God Rolls
The Adamantite strand auto rifle can roll with the following perks:
- Perk 1: Reciprocity, Slice, Unrelenting, Subsistence, Ensemble, Demolitionist, Pugilist.
- Perk 2: Elemental Honing, Hatchling, Circle of Life, Tear, Attrition Orbs, Frenzy, Kill Clip.
- Origin Trait: Willing Vessel and Runneth Over.
Adamantite PvE god rolls
PvE Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Magazine | Flared Magwell |
Perk 1 | Reciprocity |
Perk 2 | Circle of Life (also good: Attrition Orbs) |
Masterwork | Handling or Stability |
Origin Trait | Runneth Over |
For our PvE roll, we’ll start with Fluted Barrel, Flared Magwell, and either a handling or stability masterwork to get a solid increase in stats.
From there, our main roll is pretty simple: opt for Reciprocity and Circle of Life. Both of these feed into the support frame’s loop and offer you substantial benefits (healing and a +25% damage buff) for very little work. However, Attrition Orbs is also worth mentioning in the final column, as it can activate when healing allies as well. This use case is a bit more niche (and highly depends on the build you’re running), but it can greatly excel at orb generation when needed.
Adamantite PvP god rolls
PvP Roll: All-Around | |
---|---|
Barrel | Smallbore |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds |
Perk 1 | Reciprocity |
Perk 2 | Kill Clip |
Masterwork | Range |
Origin Trait | Willing Vessel |
The base of our roll for The Crucible includes Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, and a range masterwork, all of which contribute to this weapon’s range stat.
Kill Clip is a clear winner in the final column for a potent damage buff after every kill. The first column, however, is not as clear; we recommend Reciprocity for its healing bonus, but only because every other option here isn’t too great.
How to get Adamantite
As with all Heretical weapons from Episode 3, you can obtain the Adamantite from all Heresy activities, most notably the new Nether activity. We cover all Heretical weapons here.
Additionally, you can focus the weapon at the Tome of Want for an additional cost by using Scriptures, making it worthwhile to gather materials to get your hands on a good roll of this weapon.
