Before Season 2, there were no specific methods to farm Uniques in Diablo 4. All you could do was farm the associated Enemy types in Nightmare dungeons and hope for the best.
That method still technically works; however, you can now efficiently target farm Uniques by defeating Endgame Bosses.

Once you’ve identified which Boss drops the Unique you’re interested in, you can target farm it by actively chasing that Boss. You can’t simply find and fight that boss, though. First, you’ll need to find the required items to summon it, and identify its location.
How Endgame Bosses Work
Endgame Bosses are available in World Tier 3 and World Tier 4. Each Boss has specific requirements to be summoned, and each has a pre-defined loot table that includes specific Unique Items and Cosmetics (and Uber Duriel has a low chance to drop Uber Uniques!).

Alternative D4 Unique Farming Method
It was found soon after the release of Diablo 4 that certain enemies had a much higher chance to drop gear from a specific slot. For example, if you wanted to farm a Unique Dagger, you had to farm Bandits and Cultists, preferably in Nightmare Dungeons.
According to the community, these had a 5x greater chance to drop specific gear slots. Therefore, you can still technically target farm the Unique you want based on its slot. This guide covers exactly what enemy types drop what. Having said that, we strongly recommend using the Endgame Boss system instead.
